ElwynSilverleaf - 1/11/2004 at 23:57
The night crept by, and all found what rest they could by the protection of the fire. Soon they arose the next morning, and ate what little they had left from the breakfast the day before. Along the white mountains, they kept their trail and journey hard and long through the morning and deep into the night. As they stopped for a rest, they hadn't even had the time to unroll their sleeping mats before they were ambushed by a band of Uruk-Hai's. Nessa and Elwyn both with lighting reflexes had swords drawn, Aeriel followed as did Sarmer and Anarion. Leaping forth into battle....

**********************************************
Aragorn paused for a moment, before turning to those who were behind him, "Come, let us keep going." Legolas stood near, and Gimli stood nearly ontop the Prince of Mirkwood. Elrohir and Halbarad brought up the rear, while Narya and Elladan rode closely to the others infront. "How much farther is it?" Gimli asked, everyone was aware that his patience was growing thin.."this is a cave even a dwarf would not dare to delve, lest he had no wit...and yet here I am." Legolas placed a hand on his friends shoulder in reassurance, and in a hushed tone whispered.."the dead follow us.."

Everyone looked back, and saw the shadows of thousands along the stone walls. Shadowy figures riding long dead horses and long tattered banners unfurled in the cold breeze. "Soon, Gimli.." Aragorn said, "soon."

Anarion used his sword-Faerdagnir to atack the Uruk's then he saw a Troll come into the fight running at Eleyn he put his sword in it's scarreb and raissed his hand that had his gauntlents on and ussing all his strenght shoot electricity at the troll and killed it he called over Shadowfang and rode over to Elwyn and pulled Faerdagnir out of it's scabbered and jumpped off Shadowfang in front of Elwyn he hardly could stand because of the streangth it took to use the electric powers, but manneged to stand readdy for battle.

SylvanElf2931 - 2/11/2004 at 01:16
Aeriel quickly drew out her bow and rapidly began shooting at the Uruks. Hearing a thud, she jumped a little when she saw a troll dead. An uruk shot her in the side when she looked at the troll, and she quickly shot it. Ignoring her pain, she continued firing rapidly at the uruks.

dark_strider_dragon_rider - 2/11/2004 at 01:32
Anarion saw Aeriel get shoot so he quickly grabbed Elwyn's hand and they ran over to Aeriel. Anarion raissed his hands and a shiled of light covered the three of them, Anarion looked at Elwyn and said " Pull out the arrow. " After Elwyn had pulled out the arrow Anarion waved his hands over Aeriel's wound and his hands started to glow white and Aeriel was healed, He then picked up Faerdagnir from where he had dropped it and then the shiled of light fell down and they started to fight again.

Sarmer could not be seen. He was hidden behind a pile of dead Orcs. Blood was covering his clothes, and he was annoyed. Another Orc fell to his blade. He mover closer and closer to Anarion. Most of the Orcs were by now fallen, but there was at least a hundred left. He suddenly pulled Anarion away from the battle, and pushed him against a wall of rock, out of sight. Although Anarion was strong, Sarmer was stronger. " Tell me, where did you get those powers. No ordinary person can wield such healing powers, and they do not come naturally to anyone, not even one with so powerful a lineage. There is more to you than you have told us."

*********************
Narya moved back to Legolas. Although her brother could easily defend himself, and anyone else around him, she still felt the need to protect him. " My brother, there is a great malice in our presence that does not love living things." She laughed softly, so that no other could hear except for Legolas. The prince looked at her strangely. " Have you knocked your head?" he asked. Despite their peril, she hit his arm. They often teased each other when they felt a little down. Elladan kept close to her, watching her like a hawk.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 2/11/2004 at 12:30
Anarion was mad know and getting madder by the minute. Anarion looked at Sarmer and smilled and then started to laugh and said " Take your hand off of me, You think you are stronger then me but I have been trained by Tulkas himself and I am stronger then any Man, Elf, Wivered, Dwarf, or any other creture in all of Middle Earth. " With that Anarion grabbed Sarmers arm startted twistting it and then broke his arm, then he threw him into another wall of stone. Anarion was so angery know that his eyes were a pitch black color. He then said " You have no right to know were I got my power but I will show you my favorite power. " and with that his hands burst into flames that were so hot that they were equal to how angery he was, and the angerier he got the bigger the flames became.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 2/11/2004 at 12:37
" Look, I meant you no harm. But I have never seen anything like your powers before. They are strange to me, and I have seen many things before." Sarmer's own eyes were dark pools, lit only by the flames dancing in Anarion's hands. The other was indeed stronger than he had first perceived. Out of spite, his leg sneaked out, and tripped Anarion. They both now sat on the floor, breathing hard. They could hear their companions calling to them now, but neither answered. Sarmer leaned his head against the cliff wall. " Tell me Anarion, how on earth did you get Elwyn to warm to you so fast?" His eyes were still dark, but he was gradually getting calmer.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 2/11/2004 at 22:41
Anarion started to calm down but his eyes were still so dark that not even the flames in his hands lit them at all, he looked at Sarmer's arm and his flames disappered and then his hands turned white again, he reached over to Sarmer's arm and instantly it twisted back into place and his bone healed back together. Anarion then looked up at Sarmer and said " I think it might have been the fact that the Elf she had been looking for, told me right before he died that he only thought about her as a little sister and wanted me to tell her if I saw her. So when I saw her looking at his dead boby I told her what he had said, it also might have been that I had told her I cared for her more then anyone I know, other then that I am not really sure. " Sarmer looked at Anarion as if he was trying to comprehend what he had just heared. Anarion waited to see what Sarmer would say.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 2/11/2004 at 22:54
Hearing the commotion, Elwyn ran to Sarmer and Anarion. "What by the Valar is the meaning of this??" She yelled, angered by what had just happened. Her eyes grew dark as she looked to Sarmer and then to Anarion. "Sarmer has been with us for many days, he is a trusted friend and ally. He may not be the warmest one here, but he has shown himself to be most useful." She quickly knelt to the ground beside Sarmer, "Im naer.." she whispered. Anarion could only look at her, his eyes confused and almost saddened. Elwyn stood to her feet, and looking to the both of them answered their questioning faces..."We have a long way to go...I suggest we put whatever we might have against one another aside..or else we might as well abandon this quest." Elwyn then turned and made her way back to Nessa and Aeriel, who were making quick work of the few Uruk-Hai's that remained. She hoped that she had not just broken the bond she had forged with the man she loved, she could only pray that he would be understanding to her...she waited until he spoke to her later...after the battle had been won.

After the battle Anarion found Elwyn and said to her " I am not sure why you were so mad at us but he had already apologized to one another and were about to rejoin the fight when you found us, I am sorry for gettin you angery I didn't mean to, but I am a very hot headed Elf and I am quick to temper, I hope you will forgive me my lady, I do no wish for you to be mad at me. " Anarion looked at her face he was sad that he had got her angery know he stood waitting to see her reaction to his apollogy he had given her.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 3/11/2004 at 02:39
Elwyn exhaled after Anarion had made an apology to her. She looked at him, her eyes softened and full of care, "do not worry, apologies are not often needed..I just have a way of overreacting at times." She smiled at him and touched his chin with her finger tips, as she guided his face to hers and kissed him softly. "Now..shall we try and continue on or do you believe this place is safe now?" she asked..looking at the bodies left all across the ground. He looked at her and then to everyone else..."I think we should leave this place." Elwyn agreed and they soon were running as fast as they could, they did not stop until day was breaking over the mountain tops. They had managed to find an outcropping of rock, that was large enough for them to seek shelter for a few hours.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 3/11/2004 at 03:08
Anarion looked at the group and said " This is were we will make camp tonight, I think someone should watch the camp so I will go out and watch and make sure noone is comeing. " Anarion went over to his bag and pulled out his long pipe ond some tobako and light it and went out side to watch and see if anyone was comeing towords the cave and every know or then he looked back in the cave to see the others around there camp fire talking to each other.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 3/11/2004 at 18:37
Sarmer passed back and forth away from Aeriel, Nessa and Elwyn. Finally, he walked to Anarion. " It really bugs me that we can't ride. I'm sure there's a way that we can all get horses." Anarion did not answer, but carried on looking out at the night. " Wait a minute...Anarion? I'm sure I've heard that name before." He thought for a little. " I remember! Narya talks about you all the time!" He wondered how Anarion would react. The things that Narya had said were a little.....different to what someone might expect.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 3/11/2004 at 19:40
Anarion looked at the sky and made a loud whistle all of a sudden ther came a big black dog, a snake and a falcon and the stopped right in front of Anarion he looked at the dog and snake and said " Ancaamarth, Ardagnir go warm yourselves by the fire. " He then looked at the falcon and said " Feael go find four horses for the others to ride and make sure they are strong and fast. " He looked at Sarmer and said " We know each other very well and if it were not for our rank in Mirkwood we would probable kill each other we have learned how to get in each others nearves very well. " He looked up at the sky and Feael landed on his shoulder he then stood and looked into the night as four Meares ran into the light of the fire. He then told the horses in there own laungage to go warm themselves by the fire. Then he looked at Sarmer sat back down and said " There is your horses, know you Feael go warm yourself by the fire as well, I do not know Sarmer if you trust me yet or not but if you don't then I hope I can change your mind. " He looked at Sarmer and waited for a response.

((Sorry about the previous silence guys. It's the price I pay for not keeping up with my GCSE coursework...))

Nessa shuffled about upon the ground, uncomfortably.Despite it's size, the wound on her left knee pained her greatly. She had been separated, for a while, from the group when their enemies had come upon them, and had suffered a number of slashes and gashes, all across her legs and back. They were all tended to apart from the one on her knee which she had had to cover with a rabbit skin to stem the bleeding.
Her clothes were covered with dried on blood;both the orcs' and her own, much to her annoyance.
"Bloody orcs." she muttered to herself, rubbing her back.
Her discomfort caused Elwyn to wander towards her to see how she was.
"Are you alright?" she asked in a sympathetic manner.
"Just a bit sore, that's all.Anyway...how's it going with you know who?I saw you, don't deny it." she giggled childishly.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 3/11/2004 at 23:26
Elwyn smiled, and blushed faintly. "It is going quite well..." she answered.."it has been so long since I have loved, and been loved in return." She looked to Nessa, and knelt beside her. "Can I have a look at your knee?" she asked. Nessa nodded, and Elwyn slowly pulled the rabbit skin from her wound. "Ick..it looks pretty bad Nessa...let me get Anarion for you." Nessa smiled and Elwyn got up and walked to Anarion and Sarmer, "Well..nice to see you both are being civil" she winked at Anarion before asking.."I beg of you my lord, please tend to Nessa's wounds.." He looked at her and nodded, got up and walked to Nessa. Kneeling beside her, he placed his hands near her knee and a soothing white light radiated from his hands and penetrated deep within the wound. The skin once broken sealed together, and the pain gradually eased. Nessa looked at him, dumbfounded but said nothing. Anarion nodded to her and stood to his feet walking back to Sarmer. Elwyn sat back down beside her friend and grinned. Nessa gave her a glance, "I wonder..." she began but found she had no explaination.

Aeriel sat away from the others, singing softly to herself. She wrapped one of her braids around her finger and watched the others talking amongst themselves. Suddenly, she brought out her silver flute from her pack and began to play it softly, still watching the others, especially Sarmer...

"Elwyn?Does you think...do you think he might know something about them? I mean,if he is family, then he might know or have heard something about them...right?Elwyn?"
Nessa looked up to her freind while absent mindedly poking her healed knee.A mild, soothing music played in the background as Elwyn sat down next to her.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 4/11/2004 at 21:11
" Well Anarion, if Narya has a problem with someone, it must be for a good reason. But you seem like a good guy, so your argument must be deeper than I can even imagine. But.....I guess I have to trust you if Elwyn has taken to you so much." Sarmer looked at the ground, and wondered of Narya would be mad at him for making that decision. He patted Anarion on the shoulder, then turned away. He walked to Aeriel, and sat beside her. " Even though you're Narya's sister, I've never talked to you before. Will yuo tell me about yourself?" he asked, and watched Aeriel lower her flute. Narya would be happy if he made friends with her.

**********************
That night, the grey company emerged from the mountainside, and came to the Stone of Erech, in the silent night. Aragorn called upon the dead to fight for him,and then, they camped there overnight. Elladan and Narya sat a little way from the fire, spending some time together. They hadn;t been able to for many days. She rested her head against his strong shoulder, watching the flames. " What do you think the others are doing? You know, Elwyn and Nessa and Aeriel, and Sarmer." She sighed, and her mind wandered, glad to be with her love.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SylvanElf2931 - 4/11/2004 at 21:34
Lowering her flute, Aeriel tried to figure out how to answer Sarmer. "What would you like me to tell you, if I may ask? Otherwise, I'm not sure where to begin." She said and looked at him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 5/11/2004 at 00:54
Elwyn pondered for a moment..."well..you will never know unless you ask.." Nessa shook her head and sighed. "I know...I guess I'm just afraid of hearing more ill news." She dropped her head and closed her eyes in thoughts unknown to the others around her. Elwyn looked up, and saw Sarmer walking over to Aeriel. She smiled faintly, it's about time she thought to herself.

As the night passed on, and the day came they all mounted their newly retrieved steeds and took off again. Minas Tirith was only a few days away, and with the speed of the horses it should cut the journey into nearly 2 days.
******************************************

Elrohir sat alone, watching at times...his brother and Narya. He was grieved by the fact that Nessa was so far from him. He only wished to see her smile once more. He sighed and got up, walking about in meaningless patterns. Elladan smiled at his lady, "Im sure they're all just fine. They are in good company, and Elwyn is quite an efficient leader when she wants to be. " he laughed softly and placed his hand on Naryas side, holding her close. Legolas looked to them, and then looked away..lost in conversation with Gimli and the other rangers.

Anarion and the compinay rode all day and stopped to find a place to camp in some woods. They were very tired and hungery so Anarion started a fire and cooked some different kinds of meats, and vegitables, and set out his flasks of Whines, and Ales. Anarion watched as everyone ate he didn't eat that much he didn't usually need food or sleep so if he was going somewere when it took other people a weak to get there it would only take him three days. He saw everyone was sleeping except Elwyn so he walked over to her sat by her side and said " Elwyn when this quest is over would you like to be my wife? " He waited for er to respond. Hopping beyond hope the answer would be yes.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 5/11/2004 at 01:53
Elwyn was a bit taken aback by the proposal she had just recieved from Anarion, yet she could not deny her heart. "There is nothing more I would love than to be your wife!!!" Anarion smiled and hugged her close and they kissed in the firelight. He presented her with an antique ring of elven make, not sure of where it was from...she did not ask...nor did she care. It fit her finger wonderfully, speaking of their promise to one another.

Nessa stirred in her sleeping bag, and they both fell silent. Hoping they had not broke her sleep. Nessa lay silently, eyes closed but fully aware of what had just happened.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 5/11/2004 at 19:36
The sun smiled upon them the next morning;Nessa was grinning knowingly as she wandered about camp. She noticed Anarion sitting alone packing away his things, and thought it the ideal opportunity to get to know her long lost relative better and to ask him if he knew anything that might become useful in her search.
Edging slowly towards Anarion, she quickly sat down next to him, making him jump slightly in surprise.
"Nessa? What do you want?" he asked, sounding a bit put out.
"Well,I don't know if you know,but somehow,distantly,we're akin.I mean,you and I,we're descended from the same people.I already knew of Aragorn,but I didn't know of you,Anarion,and I now I do,then if you're his brother,you might know something about what happened to them...my
...my family I mean.Aragorn rescued me not long before he set out with the Fellowship;because,I sort of ran into some orcs, without meaning to and it got a bit messy.Back to the point,me and my family have been pursued for many years, and I came home one day,and they'd gone.I just thought that if you are who you say you are...then you may be able to help me..."
Anarion stared blankly trying to take in what had been said...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 6/11/2004 at 19:17
Anarion looked up at Nessa and she saw the sadness in his eyes. Nessa asked him " What's wrong Anarion. " He looked up at her and said to her " It seams that ever since I joined this company I've been the barrier of bad news, I will tell you all I know but it will be something you wont want to hear. Two mounths before I joined the fellowship in LothLorien I found your family they were running from a group of Uruks and Trolls. I fought the group to help your family and they ran into a house at the bottem of a mountain and hid. When I killed all the Uruks and two trolls I noticed the other three trolls were gone, or so I thought, I ran to the house and saw the other three trolls on the side of the mountian throwing rocks at the house, the rocks trapped your family inside and then they threw tree limbes that were on fire on top of the house. I quickly killed the three trolls and then when I ran into the house and found your family they were akready burned to death I pulled there bodies out of the house and tried to heal them but although I could and did heal there bodies there souls were gone and there was nothing I could do except give them a proper barriel. I am sorry that you had to find this out like this but at least know you now what happened to your family. I will leave you to think about what you just learned my lady. " Anarion walked away and left to think about what she learned he hatted to have to tell her about her family but he had always known he would have to one day.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 6/11/2004 at 21:03
Nessa sat there for a moment upon the borders of tears, staring into a void, unseen by the others. All her memories seemed to swirl before her in one un-ending torment. Her stomach dropped and she hobbled away in the surrounding bushes. She was physically sick, such was her grief.A stream of tears ran down her face. She ran after Anarion, roughly grabbing him by the shoulder, causing him to swivel round.
"You lie! They can't be...You must be mistaken!" she looked at him desperately.Anarion did nothing, but simply bowed his head.
"Why?Why did you not tell me sooner?Do you delight in the torture of one's mind?" she glared at him, tear stricken, but nonetheless intimidating.
"Pray, tell me,did they speak of me?Did they not ask how I or where I was?Did they say nothing of me?Please,I beg of you,do not withold that which is important to me.Speak."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 6/11/2004 at 23:29
Elwyn sat quietly, she saw Nessa and Anarion talking. Nessa getting up and stumbling away into the bushes. Elwyn knew what questions Nessa had, and she thought it best to let her have her time. She watched anxiously..nervously..and it grieved her to see her friend in tears. Elwyn, getting up slowly made her way to Sarmer and Aeriel..who were talking quietly to one another. They looked to her and nodded, and looked to Nessa and Anarion. Sarmer spoke..."sometimes, everything is not well in this world..." Elwyn nodded and sat beside them, watching still.

Sarmer desperately wanted to knock some sense into Nessa. She had no right to take it out on Anarion. But he stopped himself, and simply sat there, with unseeing eyes. His mind was far away, remembering his happiness with his own family. He remembered when they had all gone out riding, Sarac, and their parents. They had all been laughing then. It was not so now.

******************
The grey company travelled far over the next few days. They crossed the river Kiril, and Ringlo, before reching Belfalas, and crossing the river Gilram. They then travelled through Lebennin, until they reached the Great River of Gondor, the Anduin. They waited there for a night, to catch some rest. Legolas was standing away from the Company, listening, unmoving. Narya watched him for a little while, and then got up. She walked to him, and stood beside him. They seemed to silent statues in the night, exactly the same height, and clothed the same. They did not speak physically, but mentally. " What is the matter, brother? What are you listening for?" she asked him.
" I hear the cry of the Gulls. Do you remember the words of the Lady Galadriel? She warned me against the Gulls."
Narya understood. She also felt the longing for the Sea. She sighed, and leant her head against her brother's shoulder. They stood there, not saying a word for many hours, until the first light came. They were not the only ones who had been awake. Elladan and Elrohir had also been talking through the night.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 7/11/2004 at 22:53
Anarion looked up at Nessa and said in a deep sorrowful voice " I didn't tell you because your father told me that if anything ever happened to them to tell you about them only when your heart could take the pain, but seans you asked me I told you. Your family told me that I should tell you that they loved you and that they had never stopped looking for you. That is if I ever saw you, then we were seperated durring the fight and that is when your family was killed. I am very sorry my lady. It seam the times for us all grow darker by the minute. " Anarion then gently took her hand from his shoulder and walked deep into the forest by himself to get some time alone and think.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 8/11/2004 at 01:31
Elwyn watched as Anarion walked off into the woods. She sighed heavily and got up, walking away from the fire and into the woods in her own direction. She sat quietly, hidden away from everyones sight. Thinking. She desired greatly to see her cousins once more, and wished that they were in her company right now. They would know what to do...little did she know..they were too thinking of her.

**************************************
Elladan and Elrohir sat up most of the night, talking between themselves. "I can't help but worry about her.." Elladan said, looking up into the starlit sky.."she is like a sister to us." Elrohir nodded his head.."yes I know..but my heart tells me we shall see her soon." Elladan grinned.."Oh really brother? or is it that your heart desires to see Nessa?" Elrohir blushed.."perhaps it is not unusual to want to see them both?" Elladan smiled and looked over to Narya who was standing with her brother. "So..what will happen with you and her after this war is over?" Elrohir asked. Elladan only looked at him, eyes full of thought and concern.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 8/11/2004 at 16:46
Nessa watched Anarion disappear into the trees ahead.
A single tear rolled down her face and she swallowed deeply. She didn't want the others to see her crying,so she took a moment to gather her thoughts;just standing motionless in the middle of the clearing.Breathing heavily to calm herself as she walked back to where her bag lay.
Nessa was usually easy-going,used to taking everything in her stride...but this...she felt as though her whole world had been torn apart.Grief and anger flowed through her like the blood in her veins.
Aeriel looked at her fearfully;none of them had seen Nessa like this before. She was obviously finding it difficult to keep her calm composure.
Roughly, she snatched up her bag, swinging it down hard onto her back. Her face sported an expression that would have frozen the blood of the bravest warrior.
Suddenly, and without warning,Nessa took off in the direction that Anarion had taken, leaving a bemused Sarmer and rather frightened Aeriel sat beneath the trees with the horses.
Nessa stormed through the forest,her soul on fire.Anarion was nothing like his brother,Aragorn.He would have said something,she knew this in her heart.He had been as a father to her in the wilderness,and she loved him dearly.But Anarion...although however charming and wonderful he might seem,Nessa had no trust for him,and the fact that he had witheld this news for so long made her like him even less;
family or no.
She espied Anarion from afar, and secretly, snook closer to spy on him...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anarion spoke aloud as if he were talking to somebody and yet he was looking towoard the sky saying " I kept my promise to you and your family, I kept your wishes even though I wanted to tell her so bad, but all of you made me sware on my honor and by pain of death that I would not tell her until she was ready or until she asked me. Why did it have to be me who saw you last, why couldn't you send word to Aragorn to tell her, he practicly raised her she would have taken it much easier if he had told her, but you asked me to, and yet if Aragorn was in the same position as me he wouldn't have told her either if he had promised what you made me promise, because of this me and Nessa will probably never be friends like I wished we could be. " and with a lound giant yell Anarion swiftly slipt on his gauntlets and turned to a giant bollder that was 2 times his hight and 5 times his width and punched the bollder and it was turned into rubbel. Anarion got ahold of himself and saw what he did to the bollder and said to himself " I hope noone saw that or heard that, I need to learn to control my feelings or other words they are going to be the death of me or someone I care for one day. " Anarion droped to his knees and breathed slowly trying to relake.

Nessa crept closer, scrambling over the rubble towards Anarion. What she had heard had cooled her temper;for the moment.Silently, she came up behind him and perched upon a piece of broken stone. She watched as he removed his gauntlets and returned to his feet.He turned round, crying out in surprise to find Nessa there spinning Elenmegil around in her palms. She eyed him with the same suspicion that he had received upon their first encounter.
"I heard you.You should keep your voice down...you could wake a deaf orc with all your racket."
He looked back at her with an apollogetic expression.
"You heard?"
She nodded.
Anarion hung his head and sat down beside her.
"I am sorry that I could not do more for them..."
"I know...it's not your fault.I'm sorry if I blamed you for their deaths. It's just..."
"I know..." he replied sympathetically.
"You and Aragorn and the Peredhil are all the family I have left now..." she paused for a moment, bowing her head...
"We have to go now.We have delayed our journey for too long.Come...let us find Elwyn and the others."
He nodded in compliance and followed Nessa back to the campsite where Sarmer and Aeriel were waiting...

Elwyn arrived back to camp, as she heard the others coming back as well. She looked to Nessa, and knew that she was nearing a breaking point. Anxious to reach Minas Tirith, Elwyn walked to a horse and mounted it. The others looking at her in confusion.."what are you doing?" Sarmer asked. Elwyn only looked at him, softly nudged the horse. It took off into the darkness, her voice trailing behind.."going to Minas Tirith.." Nessa quickly ran to a horse, and took off the same..and the rest followed. They were all a bit confused as to what she had seen or heard that had made her want to go right then, but they hadnt a chance to ask her. Riding madly into the next day, and pressing on unrelenting until the white towers of Minas Tirith were not even a day away.

Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 10/11/2004 at 17:17
The five galloped across the remaining plains looking as if they were possessed, such was their determination and desire to reach Minas Tirith. The hooves of their horses pounded upon the earth, thundering, sending all who saw the company running for cover.By noon they were but 10 miles from the city, drawing closer by the minute. The horses were beginning to feel the strain, wanting to slow down;but they were driven on by the sheer will power of their masters.
A further two hours passed, the group tiring drastically.
"Not long now!" Elwyn announced to the followers.Nessa grinned with excitement. The first time she had smiled in days.
Sure enough, not even an hour after Elwyn's announcement, they saw from the brow of a hill, the gleaming white towers of Minas Tirith, shimmering in the afternoon sun.Beyond was drowned in an impenetrable shadow,to thick and too dark for even elven eyes to see through.
Cantering up to the great gates,Nessa's jaw dropped in awe.She had not seen the White City since she had left it,almost 3000 years before. The Gates creaked open, carefully, the friends entered...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 11/11/2004 at 00:21
The horses clammered up the cobblestone streets, everyone in the city seemed on the edge of despair. The gaurdsmen were preparing to make a stand in Osgiliath, and a long line of royal soldiers cantered their horses down the city streets. The son of the Steward, Faramir rode in lead. They watched him with saddened eyes and the entire garrison exited the city walls and marched off to a hopeless battle...soon the gates would reopen, Faramir on the edge of death being dragged by his horse. Several gaurds took him up, and rushed him to the hall of his father. Elwyn looked to Nessa, and to Anarion...Sarmer and Aeriel looked about as well...what should be done? lingered on each of their minds...

****************************
Aragorn had in the meantime sailed toward the Pelennor Fields, on a ship full of the cursed souls of the King of the Deads army. Elrohir and Legolas stood on the ships bough, watching for the docks to land. Elladan and Narya had managed to find a few moments to themselves. Gimli paced about, grumbling about a dwarf not being meant to sail.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 11/11/2004 at 21:53
Narya stood next to Elladan. They did not say a word, but simply stood side by side. They looked so perfect together. She kissed his hand. His arm was around her shoulders, and she was happy. Aragorn was standing at the bough of the ship. His eyes were foucsed on the sight ahead of him. The pelennor fields were swarming with Orcs, and the City was being assaulted. Narya gave a cry, and ran to him. " Look! It's the Rohirrim! They have come." Rank upon rank of horsemen were breaking upon the Orcs, squashing them like bugs.

Soon, what was left of Gondors army had assembled and was making themselves ready to march into one final battle. Elwyn and the others determined to march into war alongside the other free people of middle earth. They marched out of the gates...
********************
The ships docked, and the few on board stepped off into the middle of several thousand orc soldiers. They laughed as the company in such small number began an assault..but were silenced with death and fear as the many long dead took to the fields, killing all they touched. Aragorn and the others close behind...he left his friends in battle and made for the white city, where he found Theoden and the rohirrim, and all the forces Gondor could spare.

Elenmegil shone, revealed from it's scabbard;Nessa's face was grim as she prepared herself for revenge. Her bag and cloak back within the walls of the City, she looked unusually bear;except that today, she wore a mithril shirt, bearing the crest of her house;the green star.
With her best friend,Elwyn,by her side,Sarmer,Aeriel and Anarion close by;the hope of the West.An easterly wind blew into their faces, carrying the stench of fear with it.
She looked around at the men marching alongside her;doubt was scrawled all over their faces.
Suddenly,a voicespoke to Nessa from within the ranks...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 12/11/2004 at 23:49
"Nessa..is that you?" a voice called. Nessa turned to notice it was Aragorn. He bowed politely to her, "how did you end up here? I took you to Rivendell for the protection of the elves." He looked to Elwyn and nodded, Elwyn returned the gesture. Aragorn looked to Nessa again..."we have much to talk about, but I fear we will have to wait until this battle is over." He bowed to her again and pushed Brego out into the opening riding about infront of the soldiers, preparing them for the war of the age.

Anarion looked to Aragorn and said " My brother may we see each other when this battel ends. " Anarion then looked towared one of the Oliphaunts and used his abelity to contorl things minds and used the Oliphaunt to attack the Orks, Uruks, and other Oliphaunts. While using his twin blades to fight the Orks and Uruks.

The combined forces of rohan and gondor flooded into the ranks of orc and uruk hais, cutting many down on the first passing. Easterlings rode perched atop the towering Oliphant's and it would take many an attack to fell one of those beasts. Elwyns horse reared up and galloped forward, Nessa, Aeriel, Sarmer riding close beside one another. Anarion was in front of them and killing all that he could. A cold air rushed over the entire force as what appeared a mist surged through the armies...a mist in the form of men and horses. It provided a quick death to all of the evil creatures on the fields, but it did not kill all. They left that to the soldiers that lived. Elwyn galloped off, her blades drawn..slicing through anything that stood in her way. She heard Nessa behind her, killing at will. Elwyn knew they were near, she could feel it...and she rode off to find them...
*******************************************
Those left by Aragorn fought their way from the shore to the center of Pelennor. Narya fought alongside Elladan, and Elrohir fought alongside Halbarad. They quickly began making headway...riding quickly through the dead bodies to find fresh orcs for the slaughter. Elwyn saw them..."noro lim!" she yelled to her horse..it pushed on harder...and then they saw her. She jumped from the horses back, while it was still in motion, and found the arms of Elrohir. She wept for a moment, he pushed her away and looked to her tear streaked face smiling. "You are now where you belong!" he said happily.."fighting alongside your family." Elladan looked to her and smiled, however the heat of battle kept him from coming to her. Now on foot, they fought together, cousin with cousin as they had for nearly two thousand years.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 13/11/2004 at 04:01
Anarions mind slipped from the Oliphaunts when the mist killed it. He then saw Elwyn riding on her horse go and jump into her cousin Elrohirs arms. He smilled and could tell that the cousins were happy to fight along side each other again. Anarion took off his right gauntlent and slipped on his black ring and slipping on his gauntlaunt he turned invisible. He drew his twin blades and ran near Orks, and Uruks slashing his twin blades through them watched as Orks and Uruks died around him even though noone could see him.

Nessa's sword was dripping black with the blood of the enemy. She sliced thin channels through the vast sea of orcs, creating paths for her allies, and dispersing her foes into smaller, more vulnerable groups. Her horse galloped madly upon the battle field, trampling many an unfortunate easterling.
She slashed madly, mutilating, decapitating, all in her path falling, leaping aside to prevent themselves from being crushed under the hooves of her horse.
A bold uruk attempted to leap upon her,and drag Nessa off of her horse. He succeeded, but only found death at the hands of the merciless, and brutal Nessa.
There was now no option but to carry on on foot, for her mount had fled in fear.
Driving forward, stabbing, slashing, slicing, hacking her way forward;"Aurë entuluva!" she cried,in the manner of one long dead.
A glimmer of shining mail caught her attention.Making towards the light, she saw the shapes of Elwyn and Narya...and beside them...
Nessa began to run to them, her sword held out, removing heads as she went...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 13/11/2004 at 23:49
Nessa ran towards Narya and Elwyn, seeing Elrohir was with them as well. Elrohir turned, seeing her approached, and quickly his sword was sheathed and he ran forward to meet her! "Meleth nin!" he yelled as he wrapped his arms around her. They kissed quickly, and looked into one anothers eyes almost seeming as if time had stood still for a brief moment.

"Hey?? Guys!?!?! Sorry to interrupt but we're still fighting over here!" Elwyn said, a smiled on her face. Nessa blushed as did Elrohir and they took up their weapons and began fighting again.

Narya had ignored all that had been going on, her mind bent on killing. There where not many left. A few horses were cantering around the fields, their riders killing any scattered Orcs. Dead bodies lay everywhere. A thick mist lay over everything. Narya had sheathed her sword, and stood beside Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli. The Dead army were standing in front of them. They were ready to depart from the world, and rest in peace. Aragorn looked grieved at letting such an army go, but he had given his promise. Narya's friends watched as the men who had been standing there disappeared, as if blown away by the wind. Narya walked up to the Citadel with Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli. Elwyn was just about to go after her when Sarmer grabbed her arm. " Leave her. She has taken up her place among the Kings. She will, from now on, be a leader here. You must let her be one." Elwyn nodded, and decided to see Narya later, when she would finally rest.

Despite all the death around her,Nessa was beaming. Her joy was insurmountable...to have found Elrohir again, through all the hardship...she couldn't believe her luck.Wiping Elenmegil clean on her trouser leg,she resheaved the sword and stepped, carefully over the bodies of the fallen towards Elrohir, who was attempting to wipe the orc blood from his face;resutling in him having an almost completely black complexion. She wandered up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned round in response;seeing his face, she smiled.
"You kept your promise..." Nessa spoke in a quieter voice than usual.
They gazed into each other's eyes, both of them struggling to contain their feelings.
"I've missed you." they said in unison, each making the other smirk.
"You have black on you...Come here..." Nessa gently wiped away the orc blood with her shirt sleeve.Elrohir stood there smiling smugly while Nessa washed his face. She reached up to his cheek, but he stayed her hand.
Elwyn stood not far away with Elladan,Aeriel and Sarmer, all of them spying on the couple as they kissed, releasing months of built up,compressed, emotion.
Elwyn and Elladan giggled childishly.
Nessa and Elrohir were in so deep a trance, they did not notice the others for quite a while;only when their friends found it difficult to keep quiet did the pair realise they were being watched...

As the battle slowly ended, those that were together quickly reunited and then made their way to the city gates. There was still much taking place, and the crowing of Elessar was something none of them wished to miss. They entered Minas Tirith and made their way to the very top of the city, watching as the entire area filled to it's brim. Aragorn stood and alongside him was his soon to be queen, Arwen. Elwyn watched them, and tears fell from her eyes...she smiled widely and as they made their way through the crowd, Arwen looked to her kin and bid them forward. Elrohir and Elladan quickly approached her, taking her into their arms in gently embraces. She kissed each of them lightly on the cheek, her eyes bright and excited. She looked then to Elwyn who still stood amongst the others. Arwen walked forward and took her cousins hands, smiling briefly at one another. A tear fell down Arwens porcelain face..Elwyn quickly brought up her hand and wiped it away.

Anarion had taken off his gauntlent that was over his shadow ring and then took off his ring he then placed his gauntlent and put his ring back in its bag. He then fallowed everyone back inside Minas Tirith and walked over to Aragorn and said " Brother it has only been a short while since we saw each other last but it is good to see you again. " Aragorn looked at Anarion and said so I belive that you and Elwyn have become very close, I am not really suprised that we chose wemon from the same family. It is good to know you while not live your life alone." Anarion and Aragorn laughed together at the fact they had chosen two wemon so closly related as there true love.

Arwen and Elwyn both looked over to Aragorn and Anarion, both smiling. The family resemblance was subtle, yet it was there. Arwen leaned over and kissed her cousins cheek before whispering into her ear.."you will always have a place among us." Elwyn smiled as she walked back to Aragorn. Elrohir stood alongside Nessa, and Elladan stood gazing over the crowds trying to locate Narya. He frowned after a few minutes of searching and came to stand beside Elwyn. She placed a hand on his shoulder. Anarion finally walked toward her, and stood on Elwyns other side. She smiled at him warmly, and slid her hand into his.

Nessa stared at the vast sea of faces. So many people had come in such a short time she was almost bowled over in surprise.Aragorn caught her eye and smiled;she winked back at him and mouthed the words,"Good luck." he grinned and turned to Arwen.
Nessa rested her head on Elrohir's shoulder.
"You must be proud of them. All that they've been through to get here...Even though the days were bleak, there has always been hope for this world;Aragorn and your sister have found it."
Elrohir placed his arm around her shoulders and they watched the joining of the Eldar and the Edain;although not for the first time in history...

Narya suddenly appeared beside Aragorn. She was clad in a silver dress, that the elves of Rivendeel had brought for her from Mirkwood, along with a blood-red cloak and a silver tiara. Her father had sent word with the elves for her to take up her role as ruler of the Woodland realm. The King was reaching the end of his time as a monarch. She stood behind Aragorn, ready for the marriage and coronation. Her friend turned round, and hugged her. She had been with him through all his hard times, and so it was only natural that she was with him in his hour of glory, one step behind. She smirked suddenly when she saw Elladan looking at her, but her smile froze when she saw who was with him. Anarion.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 16/11/2004 at 22:15
Elladan stared breathlessly at Narya. Of all the years he had known her, her beauty never had appeared so great as it did that day. He then noticed the look of shock and dare anyone say it..horror on her fair face. She stood, staring blankly to the one who stood beside Elwyn, Anarion. Elladan knew Narya well, and knew that the look on her face was not gladness.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 18/11/2004 at 13:04
Anarion let go of Elwyns hand and walked over to Narya his eyes blacker then the pit that holds Morgoth. He walked up to her and said " So it appeares you are to be queen and your father told me he wants me to be your consort, so we have no choice to rule MIrkwood together. " Anarion was breathing to relake himself but it wasn't working well at all.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 18/11/2004 at 17:27
Nessa looked to over to Narya and Anarion who both seemed very antisocial towards each other. She nudged Elrohir and he turned to watch.
"We'd best keep an eye on those two, they've met each other before, and by the looks of it something's going to happen..." she said with only the slightest hint of concern.
"I think we'd best.It could be dangerous if those two were let loose on each other." he agreed.
Elwyn nearby also looked worried;Nessa caught her eye and beckoned her over.
"Have you seen the way Narya and Anarion are looking at each other?I reckon they're going to start a riot or something. It's obvious they don't get along."
Narya was staring daggers at the brother of Aragorn who returned them with no less poison.
Nessa grinned, anticipating some sort of dispute between the two.Elladan was watching an anxious expression on his face, looking to his brother Elrohir for reassurance...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 18/11/2004 at 17:54
" Together?" Narya couldn't think of anything worse that could happen. She couldn't think of anyhting else to say that would seem civilized. Inside, she was screaming at him. " Excuse me..." she said, without another word, she turned round, her cloak twirling round, and she was gone. She walked to Aragorn, and laid a hand on his arm. " What is your brother doing here?" she hissed under her breath.

ElwynSilverleaf - 18/11/2004 at 22:45
Aragorn turned to face Narya and looked over her shoulder to his brother. "I myself did not anticipate his being among us.." he said, looking from one to the other. "Narya, do not do something you would regret..." he said softly, placing a hand on her shoulder. She only looked at him, her eyes displaying all that he needed to know. He then turned back to his queen and left Narya and Anarion to deal with their own problems for the time.

Elwyn was now with her cousins and Nessa...watching. Aeriel and Sarmer joined then eagerly, eyes seeing all their moves. "Nessa...do you think they...?" Elwyn started to say..then noticing Elladan hushed. Nessa looked at her, she knew what Elwyn was about to say. "I don't know..." Elladan then, being the at times bullheaded son of Elrond stepped forward and stood behind Narya. He placed both hands on the tops of her shoulders. He stood nearly a head taller than her, and looked at Anarion. Elrohir watched anxiously..."Elwyn, I do not know this man well...but if he wishes to strike against my brother I will have no choice but to..." Elwyn placed a hand gently against his lips, silencing him. "You will have to do what you feel is right.." He nodded and they returned their attention to them..

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 19/11/2004 at 13:08
Anarion was angry and everyone who saw him knew it. He looked at Elwyn and said " Your cousins are indead strong and inteligent young men, but aparently Elladan has the worst taste in wemon of anybody in all of Middle Earth. " He wanted so bad to just punch Narya like she had punched Nessa, then finally his anger got the best of him he had turned around faster then anyone could have thought possible and hit Narya right under the chin nocking here on her back and everyone heard a loud crack when she hit the stone. He then turned to the crowed and started to walk away just waitting for someone to try and stop him, he was in no mood to deal with anybodys..........Insolince.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 19/11/2004 at 18:43
That was it;the tense air was broken by Narya's shout.Elladan leapt upon Anarion,Elrohir and Nessa soon joined him.Elwyn seemed distressed,Sarmer and Aeriel ran over to Narya who was trying to get up off of the floor, her head bleeding slightly.
Anarion's eyes were cold and seemingly heartless.Elladan threw a puch after punch in his direction eventually causing Anarion's mouth and nose to bleed heavily. The bleeding man turned and swang at the elf,but was soon semi-subdued when Elrohir caught him from behind in a headlock.
Nessa, although shocked at what had transpired looked from Anarion to Narya thinking...Narya had been nasty to her,but she had apologised;Anarion on the other hand, despite being a blood-relation,was not in her good books.Hesitating no longer, she strode up to Aragorn's brother, and in a rather unexpected manner, headbutted him square in the nose with a loud CRACK!
Elrohir hit him in the back with his knee, and the annoying man fell backwards. The twins leapt upon him, pinning him hard down to the floor.
Meanwhile,Narya had been helped to her feet by Sarmer and her sister.Elwyn stood, staring in disbelief at what had happened.
"How dare you?!?" Nessa belowed rubbing her head..."How dare you do such a thing?!?Do you frequently attack women,or was this just a one off?!?" By this time,a large crowd had gathered...
"You disgust me Anarion. To hit Narya;you're pathetic..you hear me?!?Pathetic!I just hope Elwyn realises what she's got herself into..." Nessa stopped to breathe and looked around to see if Narya was okay.Anarion struggled upon the floor, but he had not yet anticipated the strength of the two sons of Elrond.
"Narya may not be my best friend, but I will not...I will not see anyone of this company be treated with such malice and hatred like that which you have demonstrated;especially not upon such an occasion, and within the presence of the King and Queen;my friends,my...my...family!My family..they never burned! They've been here all along;following me,caring for me.Be they not blood, they are my kin,and more of family then you can ever be...pathetic!!!"
He lay there, deeply shocked at what he had just heard.Speechless to have been turned upon by his own kin.
Nessa glared at him,a face full of resentment for her distant cousin.
Narya walked up,red chinned;being held back by Aeriel and Sarmer. She too was raging;and who wouldn't be?
Aragorn stepped in to take over...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 20/11/2004 at 00:08
Aragorn ran forward, a look uf utter confusion plastered over his face. He quickly grabbed his brother, who was trying to get up so that he could make a go at the sons of Elrond. Aragorn seemingly dragged him, back into the King's Halls, the door shutting behind them.

Everyone stood looking back from one to the other, unsure of what they should do or say. Elladan quickly went to Narya, checking too see if she was indeed fine. Elrohir stood, beside Nessa and Sarmer stood behind them all...a look of disgust on his face. Elwyn was soon overwhelmed, and as she felt her eyes jogged away from everyone.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 20/11/2004 at 20:59
Anarion looked at Aragorn after he let him go and said " My brother, Forgive me for what I'm about to do, and if you wish to never speak to me again I will understand. " With that Anarion broke open the doors that lead back to were they had just came from. Anarion ran and jumped in the air using his powers to let him fly over to above the heads of the sons of Elrond, Narya, Aeriel, And Sarmer. His wounds had all healed thanks to his gifts, he looked down apon them and used his powers to move everyone away from Narya and then he put a shiled around himself and Narya that noone could brake through and said " Would you all like to know the truth about this horred excuse for a living creature, the only reason she is queen is because she threatend her fathers life, He was going to make Aeriel the queen, but that didn't work well with Naryas planes and she made him choose either maker her queen or die. That is the truth of this falls queen. Know you monster show them the truth of why they don't have to fear for you, Show them your powers, prove to me that they are better then mine since you belive this to be true. " Anarions eyes were blacker by the second and he was starting to laugh finally getting a chance to prove his strength to everyone who saw this fight about to unfold in front of them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 21/11/2004 at 00:18
Elwyn heard the doors open and saw Anarion fly forth from them. She however, decided to stay where she was at...eager to watch what was about to happen. Her face was cool, from the drying tears and she was terribly worried about what would happen between her friend and her lover. She could hear what was being said, andstruggled with the thought of what should she do. She knew Narya well enough to know she would not step down from a fight, and the like could be said for Anarion. Looking to her cousins, and her friends...her fears overwhelmed her so she sought deep within herself for courage. She found it with the thought of her cousins being harmed and stepped forward out of the shadows. She wiped off her face, and walked to her friends...looking up to Anarion her eyes full of sadness, and perhaps pity...she then sought Narya who stood speechless for the moment.

"How can we believe this man?!?" Nessa asked her eyes full of anger.."he had been deceitful to us before, why not now??"
Elladan and Elrohir stood, they both had their hands on the hilt of their swords. Elwyn looked to them, and they felt sorrow and dropped their grasp. "Tell us..why we should believe you??" Elwyn finally said...her voice beginning to sound defeated and hollowed.

Anarion looked down at Elwyn and saw her eyes he stayed there, flying were he was, but he droped the feild around him and Narya and his eyes slowly went back to there original color. Elwyns cousins grabed Narya and pulled her gently over to were the others waited. Anarion looked around and then said to Elwyn " I didn't think, you diserve better then me. It seems the dragon has destroyed another futer before it truly had time to mannefest itself. He landed and walked away, everyone he walked near moved away from him as if he touched them he would poison them. He walked to his brother who was at the same place he had been when Anarion had flew out of the room and said to him " If you wish brother I shall never come to your home again, to make shure I never poison these great place again. " He looked around and started to walk away but something made him stop and he didn't know what.

Elwyn looked on as Anarion walked away...looking back to Elrohir and Elladan, and to the others. Her eyes filling with tears. Nessa stood arms crossed beside her, but when she saw Elwyn's face she softened her expression. "I cannot tell you how to feel..." she whispered to her friend. Elwyn bowed her head and made her choice..she ran quickly after him...

Anarion stopped to speak with Aragorn, and after he had spoke Aragorn replied.."My brother there shall never be a time that you are not welcome in my kingdom, nor my home. You will need to decide what is truly precious to you..." Aragorn looked over his shoulder and saw Elwyn's approach. He placed a hand on his brothers shoulder then turned and walked away.

"stop.......please, do not leave us without explanations....." Elwyn cried...and as she came much closer to him whimpered, "nor leave me without your love..."

Anarion turned around and took Elwyn in his arms and said " I thought you wouldn't want me to be with you, and it would hurt me to bad to stay here and see you and know I couldnt be with you. This seemed the easiest to me that is all. My life had become nothing but anger and hattred until I met you, I couldn't bare the thought of being were I could almost reach out and touch you and know I couldn't, that is why I was about to leave. Please forgive for eveything my life has become a wild maze filled with monsters that hunt me and try to destroy me and there was no light in the maze, until I met you and recived your love, I couldn't handel the thought of loosing it and still being near you. For you are My one true love. " and with that he kissed Elwyn a long kiss filled with passion and fire.

ElwynSilverleaf - 21/11/2004 at 01:12
Elwyn returned the kiss fiercely, and soon they both breathlessly released the other and stood staring into each others eyes. Then turning noticed that everyone had just seen this moment...Elwyn blushed and knew that her friends were probably disappointed in her. She took Anarions hand in hers and walked forward, toward those that waited on the both of them. They all still stood, watching...waiting...on either Anarion or Narya to speak.

Narya was just about to go after Anarion when he returned with Elwyn. He opened his mouth to say something, but she stopped him. " No! It's my turn now." She walked into the middle of the gathering crowd. " Do not listen to this foul man. For he lies. And others can confirm what I say." She turned to Anarion. " This time, your lies have back-fired. For I never wanted to be Queen!" She announced. " And I can prove it. Legolas, Aragorn." she beckoned, and they came to her. " Go on." Aragorn turned to the crowd.
" It's true. She doesn't want to be Queen. She has been running away from it her whole life."
Everyone then turned to Anarion, and Narya, shocked. This certainly made the day more interesting. Elladan, Elrohir and Nessa flew towards Anarion, but she created an invisible wall to stop them, revealing her powers. " You have haunted me long enough. I'm fed up of you folloing me round, trying to show me up constantly. " She suddenly lost it. Her arm flew out, and her powers threw him roughly into a wall. He fell to the floor unconcious. She pushed through the people, and ran down to the Pelennor Fields.

Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 21/11/2004 at 14:21
Nessa stood there beside Elrohir; donning a cringing, anguished expression. She was confused;torn between the thoughts of where her loyalties should lie,and it pained her terribly.
The air of confusion had been inhaled by all present;uncertainty flowed through their veins. She watched as the storm of Narya tore down the Pelennor;turning to see Anarion, bleary eyed upon the ground, coughing and spluttering.Blood-tainted teeth baring from behind a grim,half-hearted smile. He had a light dusting of white residue, left by his impact with the wall.Elwyn cried out and rushed towards him.
Nessa couldn't bear to see her friend like this.Distraught, she kissed Elrohir upon the cheek,"There's something I have to do.If I don't then we'll never know..." she spoke.
"Why do you speak in riddles?" he asked concerned for Nessa and his cousin who crouched beside Anarion.
"All will be revealed just as soon as..."
"Don't explain...just hurry."
They quickly embraced, and Nessa ran towards the only person who could help...
...Aragorn sat in the doorway to his halls, one hand holding his forehead, the other resting on his knee.He looked up when he heard footsteps and saw Nessa approaching at quite a pace.
"Estel! Please help us!You know of him,you know something;I know you do!"
He looked at her and saw her desperation. Now was the time...she was ready.
"Nessa, you know the tales of the Elder days...of Doriath. You know of Beren and Luthien, our ancestors."
"Yes..."
"Of Dior and his children. What happened to his sons,Elured and Elurin...their tale is forgotten by all but a few.it is said they perished, lost in the woods of Doriath...but it was not so..."
His voice echoed around Nessa's mind;her eyes widened...
"The twins were found by a group of men of the house of Hador, who sheltered them until they came to full stature.Once they were old enough, the two princes left their guardians travelling east in search of their kin.Unsuccessful, they made their way through Ossiriand, unknowing they had found the land of their birth. They both wedded maidens of the green-elf kindred, daughters of the King.Elured's son was named Thranduil,Elurin's Feanaro.Thranduil left over the Blue mountains, disappearing eastwards, while Feanaro remained with his father, until he perished in the sinking of Beleriand.Escaping into Eriador, many centuries of lonliness later,he came into contact with those of Elrond's realm and was taken to Imladris.
Feanaro's son was Amrod Telemnar...your father..."
Nessa's jaw dropped, she couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"Elurin of Doriath was your great-grandfather...but not only that,Narya's father,King Thranduil of Mirkwood is so far unaware of his descent,as is Narya herself. She must be told."
Nodding histerically Nessa began to turn.
"Wait, you must understand. In our family runs the blood of the Melian the maiar.Over the years,a selected few have harnessed a power given to them by her line...Anarion and Narya have found theirs. You have yet to reveal yours daughter of Amrod...before you can do anything to stop this madness, you must find them inside of you...but in the meantime,do not let Narya and my brother near each other, lest they destroy themselves!"
Her mind a jumble of confusion and realisation, she leapt and hugged Aragorn, her kinsman.
"Be careful!"
"I will...."
With that,Nessa ran, full pelt out of the halls to find the others...

Elwyn knelt beside Anarion, softly placing her hand behind his head. A small hint of blood grew at the corner of his mouth, and she took her hand and wiped it away..her eyes clouded with tears that streamed down her face. Anarion was barely moving, hurt and angry, yet his body felt as though it were going to crumble. As Elwyn wept over him, she took her free hand and brushed his hair from his forehead...she felt something within herself..as if her breath was caught in her chest...images flashed into her mind...Anarion stood, back facing her someones arms around his waist enveloped in a kiss, as the kiss ended they turned....it was Narya...the vision stopped. She opened her eyes and gasped for air, collapsing almost on top of Anarion. Her cousins running to her, quickly picked her up out of concern..."Whats wrong?" Elrohir asked..Elwyn looked to him..
"I saw something..and I do not know how..." she said her voice broken for she was still struggling to breathe...

Aragorn approached her...and offered her his hand to stand. She took it and he explained what he had just told Nessa...for they were related as well...however distant it may be. " Elwyn remembered what she had seen..."Then tell me, what powers give you the capability to have your own heart crushed..for I have just seen the hidden desires of his heart.." Elwyn could feel her face redden..her cousins approached...Elladan taking particular interest.."What..did you see??" Elwyn swallowed hard..
"He does not desire to be with me...but he desires Narya..I saw it...as if I were within his heart."
Elladan's face ashen, and his expression turned grave as he approached Anarion who was now struggling to rise. "NO..don't.." Elwyn said, passing her cousin and staying him with her arm.."leave it to me..."

Anarion looked up to her, and smiled wearily..as he stood weakly, Elwyn stared at him her eyes burning. "You lie...and I have been living within it, happy and content that you love me. I have seen what your heart desires, and it is not me!" her face was flushed, and sweat began to accumulate on her brow. "I have loved once, now twice to be broken in half.." she then smacked Anarion across his face, leaving the imprint of her hand. "Do not seek to come after me unless you intend to prove yourself to me....and that will take more than pretty words." She turned...and stopped...then facing him again, threw down the ring he had given her earlier on the trip.

Once she had entered the kings halls she collapsed on the floor and wept, she had held her composure long enough and it overwhelmed her. She heard footsteps approaching, and she made no effort to stop her tears. "Man raeg?" a familiar voice called sympathetically in elven...Legolas. Elwyn heard him drop to the floor beside her, he looked at her his gaze almost heart wrenching..for they shared a secret no one knew. He then took a gentle hand and placed it against her face, "all is not lost..." he said, gazing at her.."I have much I need to tell you...but it will wait for now I must speak with the one who has cause you pain.." Legolas got up and walked out of the halls.

Elladan and Elrohir stood blocking the passage to her...and Elladan looked to Anarion..."your desire to be with Narya...that makes me dislike you, but the pain you have caused my beloved cousin makes the very blood within my veins boil......." he placed his hand on the hilt of his sword, when Elrohir the level headed, compassionate one stopped him. "What..let him explain...I want to hear what he has to say for himself..." so they stood awaiting his answer..Elladan hoping it would be the wrong one.

Narya stormed through the plain, making things fly out of her way. Now that she had revealed them, her powers were tearing the place apart. An Orc body was thrown into a Mumakil, one of the remaining trees was torn up and chucked to the side, every blade of grass was ripped from the ground; nothing was safe. She suddenly stopped. Someone was calling her, from the City. It was a few miles away by now, but she picked up the sound anyway. Nessa was waving like a maniac from the walls. Narya rolled her eyes, turned round, and ran faster than the wind to the city. She ran into the courtyard, and all eyes turned to look at her. Legolas looked annoyed, Elrohir was worried, Elladan was furious, and Anarion...his expression was hard to read. She looked in disgust at him, then went to Nessa, who stood far off at the other end. She hadn't heard anything that had happened.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 21/11/2004 at 18:30
"Narya!Don't do anything you would regret!"
"What do you mean?!?Why should I feel remorse for pumelling that slime?!?"
"Because!!!" Nessa lowered her voice and pulled Narya into a quiet corner away from the commotion nearby...
"Because,if you attack him, you're attacking...you're attacking your kin!"
Narya stood, eyes full of anger and hatred for the man who stood but a few metres away.
"He is NOT my kin!He never has been and he never will be!"
"He IS! Narya, please listen! My great-grandfather was Elurin of Doriath, his brother Elured is your grandfather!Anarion's descended from Elwing. Please understand,we are all of the same lineage. We all have maia blood in our veins. That's why mostof our family have powers.Me,you, the twins,Elrond,Elwyn....him..even Aragorn holds healing powers. If I let you get to him,you will be destroying part of yourself. We are the last of the three-fold race and we can't die out!"
Narya, expression blank in amazement, stared at Nessa, then to the others...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 21/11/2004 at 23:31
Anarion looked at the twins and stood up healling himself and said " It was not a vission in my heart that she saw but a memory that happened many years ago, that is what started our hattred for each other because I left her and said that I hatted her and never wanted to see her again. I left her without a exscusse. The truth is me and her are related as well as soom others that are present, we are the last off the three fold, this is why we have powers. As for Elwyn I have not hurt her as bad as she hurt me, she was once in love with Legolas and still is in love with him altho it is less then she used to love him it is still more then she loves me. " He yeld what he said about himself Elwyn and Legolas and with that Anarion ran as fast as he could and jumped off the palace wall and flew down to the stabels and retrevied his animals and wondered if he should leave or wait and talk more with the others but he doughted they would belive whatever he said.

Elrohir and Elladan took off after Anarion, catching him at the stables as he was about to mount Shadowfang.

"Halt!" Elrohir called, running to him and taking his horses reigns. Elladan approached as Anarion dismounted his steed and turned to face him. "You mean to tell me that if you were given the chance right now...to be with Narya again...you would not take it??" he said...waiting for Anarions reply. The others could be heard coming down the stable halls..Anarion looked to them, and saw Elwyn was not there. "She did not come......" Nessa said..staring impatiently at him..."how can you tell us that what she saw was merely a memory and not a desire that you still carry to this day?" They all stood...watching...waiting..

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 22/11/2004 at 01:23
Anarion looked at Elladan and said " I have no more feelings for Narya at all. " and then he turned to Nessa and said " Because that time that passed between me and Narya has haunted me ever since I learned about us being related. Be happy all of you if I leave then this time of insanity will be over, besides you Nessa and Narya never wanted me to be with Elwyn anyway so why are you trying to stop me. " He waited to here what everyone would say.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 22/11/2004 at 16:47
Legolas wasn't going to wait a around any longer. Even though Anarion had been like a brother to him, this was too much. No one even tried to attack his sister when he was around. He grabbed Anarion in a head-lock, and Anarion had no power to stop him. He didn't know why, but his powers didn't seem to be working on him. " No one treats my sister like this. But even worse, you've also treated Elwyn in a bad way, and this makes me hate you." he spat. Anarion struggled, but couldn't get free. Narya suddenly stormed in. Her hand flew out, and Legolas spun through the air away from Anarion. Elladan, who was heading in Anarion's direction, was thrown backwards. Everyone else were rooted to the ground. Anarion stood, like a deer caught in headlights, in the middle of the crowd. " Someone's going to tell me what's going on, or you're all in big trouble!" she yelled.
" Man, she uses those powers good." Legolas whispered under his breath. He was rubbing a bump on his head.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 22/11/2004 at 19:26
Nessa couldn't take it any longer. Her family at each other's throats all the time...this wouldn't do.
Nessa had been thrown back in Narya's rage and was struggling to her feet. She had had enough. She rose up to her full height,a seemingly unimpressive five feet.
She appeared different in a strange, indescribable way, like she had found something which completed her otherwise broken self.
The people around her watched anxiously,as somehow, defying the spell which held them all to the ground, she made her way up towards her quarreling kindred.
Narya's arm flew back in an attempt to stop Nessa;but her power was temporarily blocked by something she knew not.
She turned around to see what had happened. Her gaze met Nessa's.Time stood still...
Nessa's face was stern yet thoughtful. She stood like a pillar, silent and watchful, her mind bent on getting through to her distant cousin.

Inside Narya's mind, images flashed, voices echoed ceaselessly.Nessa could see her eyes widening in a confused, but understanding manner.
She heard Nessa's unusually calming speak when noone else could,as if her voice was inside her head.
"Narya!Calm down...I said do nothing you would regret, but you have the spirit of a Noldo;you do not listen. He is kin wether you lik eit or not,and some day you will have to deal with that. But there is a bigger, more important purpose for us;a fate we cannot deny.Me and my family have been pursued for many years,by that which only my father knew of.I came to the North early in my youth to escape the shadow. But eventually it caught up with us.That is when I was left...alone...with noone but myself to confide within. This shadow is after all of us Narya...all of us born into the three-fold race.It seeks revenge for our ancestors' doings...the retrieving of the Silmarils.
Already it has found Anarion,he is haunted by the evil of him.He has found you and your family in Mirkwood. It was he who caused the Greenwood to fall.He knows that if we unite his power will be ultimately diminished. That is why he tried to capture my family...to stop us.You must understand Narya;all of us must survive. This is what he wants...for us to destroy ourselves...he fears us Narya;he feared the power of Melian and now his fear is passed down to us.
Anarion, despite how annoying he can seem,is just as important to this as you or I.You cannot kill him!"

Nessa's eyelids drooped, her head nodding, she fell backwards onto the floor, breathing heavily.
Narya withdrew her spell, but glared at Anarion.
"Nessa!"
Elrohir rushed up and carefully lifted Nessa up,supporting her on his shoulder.
"If what you speak of is true..." Narya began...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 22/11/2004 at 19:36
Narya stared at her, then shook her head. " First, I need to know what has been going on, before I can obtain any new information!" She looked to Anarion, who had been thrown against the wall when she turned her attention away from him. " If what you say is true...then I must do something, that I never thought I would." She walked to Anarion, and held out her hand, to help him up. She half-expected him to spit on it, but suprisingly, he didn't. He looked at it for what seemed like ages, then eventually took it, and she pulled him up. They looked at each other with wierd expressions, a mix of hatred and confusion along with something else, that was hard to explain. Elladna suddenly stepped between them and pulled her away from him. He was jealous, and protective, it was obvious. Narya looked at him, and Anarion. " Alright, now I really want to know what's going on." she said, feeling protected wrapped in his arms.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 22/11/2004 at 22:08
Anarion looked at everyone and said " I have no more wish to explain anything at all. " He then looked at Nessa and said " Your powers didn't work cousine and I know what you said and I don't care any more let him do what he wishes the time for our powers to do any good whatsoever has passed already. " then Anarion anonced to everyone " Do not try to stop me I cannot take this pressure anymore. Now I leave and all of you can get back to your happy little lives without me. " Anarion placed a shiled up that noone could pennitrat through and started to ride off and stoped at the door and looked back at Legolas and said " You know what killes me the most is that we have always been close, and I always like brothers since I couldn't tell Aragorn that he was my brother, and know you do this to me even after you learn how I fell about Elwyn. Well I hope you and her can have a good life together. " Anarion once again spoke to Nessa and said " It appears as though Morgoth has won even before we trully joined forces. May the Valar forgive me for leaving all of you and destroying our final hope for a true victory over the darkness, but I hope you have a good life whatever is left of it until Morgoth destroies you. Altho he'll probably destroy me first. " and with that Anarion and his animals left as fast as they could and all that was left behinde them was a giant cloud of dust that noone could see through.

ElwynSilverleaf - 22/11/2004 at 23:18
Elwyn stood, watching from many feet above the remainder of the group...a terrace stood nearly 30 feet overheard of the stables. She had remained speechless, throughout the entire skirmish in an attempt to see what was really going on with Anarion. The remark Legolas had made in her defense warmed her heart, yet seeing Anarion leave pained her deeply. She stood, stark and unwavering..the wind blowing through her cropped messy hair, staring into nothingness. Trying to sort her thoughts, and feelings...she was a jumble of emotions and wanted desperately to talk to someone yet she did nothing. She closed her eyes, and tried desperately for the first time in her life to use the gift of telepathy that most elves had..she tried to call out to Anarion within her mind, yet she knew not if it had the power to reach him.... She was angry, yes....but she did not wish for him to leave under such circumstances. She heard whispers coming from beneath her..and casting a glance noticed that she had been discovered. Quickly she backed away, ashamed on part of her spying...
She heard the others approaching, it was Nessa and Elrohir...
"what are you doing?!" Elrohir asked, his face slightly aggrivated due to what had just happened. Elwyn only looked at him, her dark eyes pools of sorrow. Nessa stepped forward and took Elwyn by the shoulder..."what's wrong? you look as though you are falling ill.." Elwyn looked to her..and whispered.."..I feel as though part of me is dieing...for I feel all of the love I had has now escaped my grasp.."
Nessa looked at her gravely.."have you forgotten what you saw?"
"I know what I saw...but what if..what if he spoke the truth about it?"
Nessa only looked at Elwyn, face twisted in thought. Then Elrohir spoke..."if he does love you, and wanted to be with you he would not have left like he did."
"perhaps.." Elwyn said, her face now wet with silent tears..
"Come.." Nessa said, taking her by the hand they all walked back to the stables, facing the rest of the group.

Aeriel rushed inside after Anarion left and grabbed her bag, quiver and sword, and walked towards the stables. Once there, she brought her horse out and walked to where the others were standing.

She stood in front of them all and said in an angry voice, "I hope all of you are happy! Your constant fighting is driving this family apart! We should be getting along, but no! I am going after Anarion, and none of you try to stop me either!" She then walked over to Elwyn and hugged her, and whispered, "I promise you, I'll bring him back."

With tears in her eyes, she mounted Mirfain and galloped away quickly, following the path Anarion had taken...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 23/11/2004 at 16:38
Narya was about to go too, but Elladan grabbed her arm. " I don't think so. They can bring him back." he said. Narya turned back.
" Am I ever going to find out what has been happening, or do I have to go on in confusion?" Although she desperately wanted to know what had been happening, what bothered her more was why everyone had reacted so badly to Anarion and her's fighting. They always fought, and no one had made a fuss then. So why now? She looked at the twin, and smiled weakly. " I'm going to find my head. If you wish to tell me what's been happening, then I'll probably be in the fields somewhere." She went out, and Brethilliel was waiting for her. He was an intelligent Mearas, and could always sense when she wanted him. She totted to the Pelennor Fields, and began to use her powers to repair the destruction she had created in her wrath. She hoped that someone would tell her, she hated not knowing what was going on, and this seemed very important.

Anarion rode fast so fast that noone would belive it unless they had seen it. It only took him one day to reach Isongared. When he got there he found Treebeard who was gaurding Sauramen with the other Ents and said to him " Well my old friend I've lost another one, but this time it hurt me a lot worse. " Treebeard responded " What happened this time my old friend? " Anarion responded " I loved Elwyn and know I've learned that she is still in love with Legolas, He who I thought of always as a brother, and she loves him more than me, thats what hurts the most. " Treebeard looked at him and said " My friend whatever happened you need to work through it with Elwyn talk to her explane whatever happened to her. " Anarion said " My words will not be able to win her over as I have done before. " Treebeard said " Well try to win her back and if you fell then remake the sword like you where supposed to so much earlier and accept your destiny. Do you still have the shards of the sword, Dragon. " Anarion laughed and replied " Yes my old friend I still have the shards of the swords, I know what to do know, thank you for your help old friend I'll see you later. " Treebeard said to Anarion " Go with the grace of the Valar my friend. " and with that Anarion jumped back on Shadow fang and headed back towards Minis Tirith. On the way about 100 miles from Minis Tirith he saw Aeriel and said to her " My lady were are you headed in such a hurry? " He waited for her response.

Elwyn watched as Aeriel rode off. Her heart sank, and she felt the dire need to be alone. She patted her cousin Elrohir lovingly on the arm and walked away from him, out into the vastness of the Pelennor Fields. She stood silently, staring towards the direction Anarion had rode...the wind blew hard against her pale complexion, turning her cheeks rosey pink. Her eyes again filled with tears, as she stared out...searching for him. She felt her knees give way and she hit the ground...clawing at the tall yellowing grass, which nearly blocked her from sight. "I feel like such a fool..." she whispered to herself...then she wondered...in the depths of her mind...why would he think i was still in love with Legolas?

*****

Elladan took off after Narya, approaching her slowly he took her horses reigns and stared at her for a moment..She dismounted and stood before him, as he took her in his arms. "I suppose I should tell you what just happened..." and with that he explained everything to her..the vision Elwyn had..the argument between the twins and Anarion...and Nessa's revelation...Narya was silent, as if taking it all in before finally looking up to Elladan. He asked her softly, pulling her close again....."please...tell me that you will not take your affection from me.." his voice quivered. She looked up, and noticed and unsettling display of emotion to be coming from him...down his face rolled..tears..

"Anarion! I thought you would be long gone by now..." Aeriel replied to his question. "I came to look for you, but I guess I don't need to. Where did..." Her sentence was suddenly cut off, and her sight went black...

A great and dangerous battle was being fought all around her, and many had fallen already. As she turned around, she saw Anarion coming closer to her. they walked towards each other, and stood side by side. They continued fighting, when suddenly a giant beast ran towards them and struck at them with a long, jagged sword. Anarion tried to block the attack, but he failed, and they were both struck hard and knocked through the air, finally hitting an outcrop of rocks...

Gasping, Aeriel fought to clear her head of the sight she had just seen. Her head pounded, and she nearly fell off Mirfain.

Anarion looked at her and said " Well that is odd. We better get you back to Minis Tirith. " With that Anarion lead Aeriel back until they were fifty feet away and then Aeriel rode by herself the rest of the way. When they got to the stabels Aeriel and her love embraced and he appolijized for being so hot headed toward Anarion. Anarion put his animals in the stabel and walked away to the top of Minis Tirith wich was know empty of people. He looked down from were the ward of Minis Tirith had killed himself, and in truth didn't care if someone, out of anger or dispise or just plain pure old fashened hate, pushed him off.

Elwyn saw Anarion approach the body of Denethor...yet he did not see that she sat only a few feet away in the distance. She stood quietly, and walked closer to him...he never looked up so her words gave a subtle start..."he leapt," she said walking closer to the body. Anarion did not look up. Elwyn crept nearer.."he tried to set himself and Faramir on fire..while they both still lived.." she stopped and looked at Anarion out of the corner of her eyes before continuing. "Then..after he was ablaze..he jumped.."
"Good, he was nothing more than a plauge on Minas Tirith..." he said.
Elwyn looked at him, while he still stared at the charred remanents of the steward. "I.." she stuttered...looking back to the ground, before turning slowly.."I will leave you be...I can see company is not desired.."

Narya looked up uncomfortably at Elladan, and though about what to say that would stop him crying. It was funny how she and Sarmer were so alike like this. Neither of them knew how to react to tears, but she guessed that was because they themselves never showed even the slightest bit of emotion. She didn't think she had ever cried, it was almost inhuman. " Of course I won't leave you. Why would I?" she said finally. It was pretty lame, but she couldn't think of anything else. She moved back, and stroked his neck. She mounted him, and Elladan lead him slowly back to Minas Tirith. Narya looked around her guiltily, and Elladan followed her gaze.
" Man, you were mad." he whispered. Narya smiled. She watched Elwyn and Anarion. She couldn't hear what they were saying, but he didn't look very happy. Elwyn was backing away, and Narya wondered what was going on. She dismounted Brethilliel when they got inside, and walked up to the citadel. If they had finished, she wanted to give Anarion something.

( Btw, who is Aeriel's love? I wasn't aware she had a love.lol)

Anarion heard that Elwyn was stating to walk away so he turned around and gently grabed her hand and said with love " Elywn I wish to know what it is that I can do to prove myself to you, it is killing me that you don't want me to be with you. But if there is nothing I can do to prove to you that the vision you saw was a memmory that haunts me and not a wish in my heart than I shall leave your pressance and never bother you again, and you can be with the one you really love and when the two of you get married I promise to never go to your house and difiel it with my pressance. If you don't want to see me anymore I'll make sure that I send a message everywere I go before I get there to make sure you aren't there. Whatever you want to happen between you and me that is what shall happen. " Anarion looked deep into Elwyn eyes and waited for a response from her.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 24/11/2004 at 20:19
Elwyn listened as Anarion spoke...she felt his words were sincere yet her head warned her against falling so quickly again. "I will not lie to you, for my heart does pain me..and the image that I saw will haunt me more than you can even imagine...yet I do not wish you to leave..." she squeezed his hand gently. "Please stay...all I ask is that over time you prove your love to me through actions...more than words." She placed her free hand against his face, pulling him closer and placing a kiss on his forehead.

Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 24/11/2004 at 21:07
((OOC~ I think he means Sarmer!!! By the way...are we in a stable?!?))

Nessa stood quietly, thoughtfully, alone lost in her thoughts in a corner of the room. Her eyes flickered across the room as one dreaming.A pair of arms wrapped lovingly around her neck from behind. She looked up and smiled at Elrohir.
"You looked troubled so I came to see what was wrong...Are you ok?"
Nessa turned round and cuddled him, looking into his glittering, grey eyes, while he gently caressed her cheek.
"I'm alright...I just needed to think for a while. It's been so hectic lately...we've not had a chance to talk to each other...just you and me."
"Come on,lets go outside for a minute,it's getting a bit stuffy in here."
Elrohir took Nessa by the hand and led her out for some peace from the turmoil...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 25/11/2004 at 17:30
Narya walked up and placed a hand on Elwyn's shoulder. " If I can borrow her for a second." She pulled her away before Anarion could answer.
" Listen, I am sorry for causing all this trouble. I should have told you about me and him earlier, it was just that, I didn't want to scare you or make you uncomfortable." She smiled at her friend for a second, then went back to Anarion.
" I have something I want to give you." She pulled a ring off her finger, and handed it to him. He knew what it was, even if Elwyn didn't. It was the ring of the ruler of Mirkwood. " You will make a better ruler than I ever could. Look after my people well." She said, and walked away. Anarion was staring at the ring, dumbfounded.
Narya suddenly heard running footsteps after her, and she turned round. Anarion was standing there, breathless from sprinting. " What?" she asked. " That was what you wanted, wasn't it?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 27/11/2004 at 03:45
Elwyn watched, her elven ears straining to hear what was being said between Anarion and Narya. She stood, arms crossed, a defeated glint in her blue eyes. It felt as though they had been speaking for an age, thousands of thoughts passed back and forth through her mind. She needed very much to be alone with Anarion, to speak with him, to try and sort this out; yet she felt as though she would never have that chance. She looked to the others, Aeriel stood beside Sarmer and they both cast their gazes on Anarion and Narya. Elwyn quickly walked over to them, and hugged Aeriel tightly.."hannon le, mellon nin." Aeriel smiled and nodded...and they waited...

***********
Elrohir and Nessa had been having a rather pleasant conversation for quite some time. They sat alone, hidden from sight..enjoying the comfort of being together. He held her closely, her head propped against his chest..he stroked her hair with his hand. "Le annon veleth nín," he said to her in a soft, whispered voice. She moved her head, so that she could look him in the eye, he slowly moved forward and placed a gentle kiss on her lips.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 27/11/2004 at 20:18
Anarion looked at Narya and said " No I don't want to be the ruler of Mirkwood. Being your Concult will be enough for me. All I care about doing is proving myself to Elwyn again. Keep the ring, and also I may not be able to help you by doing my job until I have won Elwyn back one hundred percent of the way. " Anarion handed Narya the ring then walked back over to Elwyn and said to her " My love. I could never love anyone as muck as I love you. " and with that Anarion took Elwyn in his arms and kissed her the strongest kiss that he had given her yet.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 27/11/2004 at 20:35
As Anarion kissed Elwyn, she felt the muscles within her body go lax. She would have fallen into a lump on the floor had he let go of her. She stood with her eyes still closed, after the kiss ended...and breathed in deeply. Slowly she reopened them, seeing that Anarion still stood before her...searching her eyes for any indication of what she felt. She lifted a hand, and brushed her hair from her face, her cheeks glowed a rosy pink.
She attempted to move, and her knees buckled..she began to fall to the floor when Anarion caught her in his arms...

"oh my.." she whispered to herself, covering her lips with the tips of her fingers. She smiled softly, and giggled to herself. Anarion looked to her and smiled, laughing softly he stood her back to her feet. "You have work to do...but not much.." Elwyn whispered to him. He smiled and nodded.."I'll get on it.." She placed a hand on the side of his face and watched as he walked back out on the Pelennor Fields.

"what is he up to?" Aeriel asked, Elwyn shrugged and they all watched..

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 27/11/2004 at 20:58
Anarion first used his powers to give back his ring that Elwyn had given back to him earlier and then started using his powers to gather flowers and arranged one pile the same hight, shape, and even colors as Elwyn perfectly having everything in there corect place then he used another large group of flowers to spell out Le Melon. Then he looked back at Elwyn to see what her reaction and response to this work would be.

Narya went to Aragorn. " He won't take it." she said. She was passing back and forth in the throne room.
" What?" he asked.
" He won't take it!" she said, a little more stressed this time.
" But...he has to take it."
" You don't think I know that?" she snapped, then felt gulity, and apologised. " I can't rule! I just can't. I'm not cut out to rule, and I know that. He's the one who was intended." She leaned her forehead on a pillar. " So why won't he listen?" She hoped that Aragorn would know what to do.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 28/11/2004 at 02:09
Aragorn looked at Narya, thoughtful and poised. "In time, he will come to understand...you cannot expect him to take such a thing from you, when the grievances between one another encumber your friendship...if that is what you call it.." he looked at Narya, his eyes full of worry. The door opened and Arwen entered.."I beg your pardon.." she whispered, Aragorn motioned her forward. Arwen sat beside her king, and he explained the situation to her..she only smiled at looked to her husband. "I remember not too long ago, when you were also faced with such a decision.." she looked to Narya, and continued, "Aragorn knew he must be king, and he disregarded it...for years he chose exile until he no longer could do so...you cannot rush such things.."

*******************************************
Everyone stood in awe as they saw Anarions' creations. Elwyn flushed, and found herself on the edge of tears. She felt as though she couldn't hold herself back from loving him any longer...she knew if she truly loved him, then she needed to give into her fears and take a chance. And so she did. She approached him, and with a subtle movement touched the flowers..they were real. She looked at him, as he watched her patiently...then she was in his arms. Kissing him roughly, all the pain and tears, fell to the floor never to be remembered. As she let him go, and leaned back to face him once more...she whispered.."im nodanim an le.."

"Gerich veleth nín,Elrohir.Tolo sí."Nessa placed her arms about his shoulders, and kissed him, lovingly.
"I've missed this;not having to travel all the time...just being able to relax,in peace...with you."
Elrohir smiled and held her hand.
"I'm not going anywhere...gweston."
His face was suddenly thoughtful, and he began to get up from thier hiding place.
"Nessa, aphado nin.The others will be wondering where we are."
They walked hand in hand until they stopped behind Elwyn...but she stirred not.

"Elwyn?Elwyn?" Elrohir spoke inquiringly.
"Why doesn't she answer?" he looked at Nessa who was busy poking Elwyn in the back of the head.
"It isn't Elwyn...or...if it is...she's been turned into....FLOWERS!?!?"
The pair stared in surprise at the sculpted bouquet before them, wondering what was going on...

As Aragorn, Narya and Arwen talked, Elladan walked in. He seemed pretty smug with himself. " Hello children." he said cheekily, then walked up to Narya, and kissed her on the cheek.
" Hello. What have you been up to?" Narya was suddenly suspicious. He was pleased with himself about something! He sat down on a chair.
" What have you been talking about?" he asked.
" Nothing, just the fact that Anarion's so stubborn!"
" He's just like you then!" Elladan teased. Narya raised an eyebrow.
" Gee, thanks!" she replied sarcastically, then laughed, and sat down beside him. She was gradually relaxing in this new enviroment. The four spent the next few hours just talking.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 29/11/2004 at 00:59
Nessa and Elrohir stood, gazing over Pelennor.."look.." Elrohir said pointing..it was Elwyn and Anarion wrapped in each others arms.."it seems that is what we missed." He smiled as he saw that his cousin was happy, and looked to Nessa. "Nessa.." he said softly.."I've been meaning to ask you something..."
Nessa turned her gaze to him.."what is it meleth nin??"
Elrohir smiled and rubbed the back of his head with one of his hands.."well..I was wondering if..." his gaze met hers.
"yes?" she whispered
"well...I ahh...I was ahh.." he stuttered
She just looked at him, urging his to speak.
"Nessa would you.."
Elladan, who had no idea what he had just done slapped his brother roughly on the back. Elrohir blushed, and Elladan only looked to him laughing. "Did I interrupt??" he asked..a sly grin on his face. Elrohir only sighed. Elladan looked out to his cousin, and whispered softly to his brother.."if he hurts her, mark my word cousin I will make him sorry.." Elrohir agreed, but answered saying.."I don't think we have anything to worry about...there's something sincere about him..I do not know what..but I know it is there."
Elladan looked to Elrohir and nodded.."if you think so..then so do i.."
He walked off leaving them alone again.
"What were you saying??" Nessa asked..a bit saddened.
"Oh..nothing..I have already forgotten..." He smiled and looked away.

Nessa was not so much disappointed as she was curious. She stood watching him as his eyes wandered across the scenery.
"Surely your memory isn't that bad?Or..."
He turned back round...
"Or what?"
"Nothing...I've already forgotten..." she answered, grinning cheekily.
Elrohir smirked and shook his head,Nessa giggled quietly away to herself. After a short, yet nontheless awkward silence,Nessa spoke...
"So...what were you going to say?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 1/12/2004 at 00:16
Elrohir looked at Nessa and laughed quietly. "Really...it was nothing...besides it isn't the right time..." he sighed and looked to the others. "Where shall we go now? or has our journey ended??" he looked to Anarion and Elwyn who were now coming off the Pelennor Fields and quickly approaching the stables. Elladan looked to his brother, "yes..where now? Nessa, it seems that we are at your biding..." he winked at her and then nodded to his brother. Aeriel and Sarmer neared as they all began trying to decide where they needed to go.

SylvanElf2931 - 1/12/2004 at 01:49
Watching the others talking amongst themselves, Aeriel walked over to Elwyn. "Would you like to come with me for a horseback ride?"
"Yes, I would like that."
Nodding quickly, she walked towards the stables and retrieved their horses. She walked back to where Elwyn was waiting and handed her the reins to her horse and mounted. She galloped off towards Pelennor Fields, followed closely by Elwyn.

As they rode, they talked and laughed. Nearing the center of the Fields, something rushed by them quickly and disappeared.
"What was that?" Aeriel asked. Elwyn shrugged, and they walked on. Before long, something rushed by them again, and as they turned to look at it, something struck them both off their horses, and a sharp pain struck their heads. Darkness quickly overtook them....

Groaning with pain, Aeriel struggled against the chains that held her down. Turning her head, she saw Elwyn out of the corner of her eye. She struggled to speak, but all that came out was murmurs...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 1/12/2004 at 02:15
Darkness was all Elwyn could see, and sounds began to creep into her head..muffled and quiet..yet growing until they were clear and definitive. She opened her eyes...almost forgetting that something had just taken her and Aeriel..her gaze darting about, vision still blurred. She managed to setup..finding out only that her arms were bound by heavy shackles. Aeriel lay on the floor near her, she too was just gaining her senses. Aeriel tried to speak, but nothing escaped her lips.

Elwyn looked at her..frightened and confused. Where is this place? she thought to herself..noticing then that there was blood trickling into her eyes. I must be wounded she thought again, yet as she tried to lift a hand was reminded of her bonds. She looked about, concentrating on sounds and scents...darkness was lit only momentarily by spurts of flame..and the smell of thick smoke could be detected as well.

She heard Aeriel move about, and looking to her saw she too had managed to sit upright. Her gaze met Elwyns. Shadow nearly choked their sight, the sound of a terrible rumbling as though the very ground were breaking way..red glare lit the walls..and great fear entered into their souls. For there entered a balrog, servant of Morgoth..a whip of fire held in one hand and a great sword made of flame on its back. It walked past them slowly, never glancing to them once..stopped. A great spectral figure spoke with it, in the language of darkness, its voice cold and hollow...then looking over to the elves, spoke common..."Morgoth has sought to destroy the last of the threefold for many ages, and it seems that his servants have done well in capturing those that remain."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 1/12/2004 at 12:28
Anarion started to wonder were Aeriel and Elwyn were he knew they had gone for a ride but it had been to long for that to be happening still then he had a vission fo the two of them capptured and a Balrog talking to a dark figgure. He saw where they were at and fury grew within himself and he jumped into the air and started to fly to were they had been takken on the way changing his boby by use of an ilussion he turned into a dragon and after a short time landed in the field near Aeriel and Elwyn. The gathered forces of darkness howld in victery because they thought that Morgoth had sent a dragon to destroy the Elves, but then the dragon started to burn all of the darness around him and let drop his ilussion and pulled his long sword off his back and ran at the Balrog. He used his power to hurtly stones at the Balrog and then gabbed his sword stabbed it threw the Balrogs head. It fell over dead then he ran back to Aeriel and Elwyn and raised his shield around the three of them and healed the two Elf madiens seeing they were wounded. Then he grabbed them and jumped into the air and flew back to Minas Tirith. He landed near the others of there group and looked at Aeriel and Elwyn and said to them " What happened, how did you gst capptured like that? " Anarion looked at them and waited for a response.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 1/12/2004 at 13:17
Elwyn and Aeriel stood dumbfounded in the midst of their companions. Anarion's question echoed in their minds, until Aeriel finally spoke up.."ahh...I'm not sure what took us." She looked to Elwyn, a small smirk crept over her face.
The twins ran to their cousin, worried and gladdened to see her again. Elrohir embraced her, and letting her suddenly go stepped back. Nessa saw the look on his face, yet at the time did not understand it. Elladan stood with Narya, they were getting anxious and wanted to move on from Gondor. "Come then...let go wherever we are headed next.." Narya said. The others agreed and readied themselves for departure...

After a few hours of riding, they were nearing the borders of Gondor...that's when Nessa began to realize that something just wasn't right...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 1/12/2004 at 18:16
She isn't... Nessa thought;she looked back at Elwyn whose eyes were fixed upon her,a grim, insane smile smeared across her face...
She is...she's staring at me...why's she staring at me?
She shuffled in her saddle, her friend's fixation making her uncomfortable.
She's not even watching where she's going...someone's going to get hurt...
Elwyn began to steer her horse closer to Nessa...
What does she think she's doing?!?
Nessa swerved and fell back into file behind the twins, slightly shaken...
"Does she normally do that?!?" she asked them...
"Do what?"
Elwyn gazed round,eyes wide open,like an owl's...
"That!!!"
The twins glanced at each other, worrying thoughts could be seen creeping upon them...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They stopped at dusk, resting by a small wooded expanse.
Elwyn and Aeriel sat beside each other talking in hushed voices.
Elladan was with Narya,Anarion and Sarmer were busy attempting to skin a rabbit, while Elrohir and Nessa huddled close together;talking, but still keeping an eye on the two conspirators...
"What's wrong with those two?I've never seen them behave like that before..." Nessa asked, looking to Elrohir for reassurance.
He replied simply,
"I cannot say...Never have I seen Elwyn like that before...we will have to watch them..."
Nessa nodded, noticing both Elwyn and Aeriel now looking in their direction...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 2/12/2004 at 02:22
Elwyn stared at Nessa, her gaze cold and unlike anything Nessa had ever encountered. Neither of them said a word, and silence gre thickly about them. Aeriel finally got up..motioning for Elwyn to follow her. They made their way into the darkness of the landscape surrounding them, and spoke in soft murmurs. They felt everyones gaze on them, yet did not return to camp to confront anyone. Elladan, who had by now had just about enough of the entire situation finally broke the silence. In an attempt to find out more about where his dear cousin had been, and what she had endured.

"Anarion.." he said. Anarion turned to face him, and he continued.."tell us where they were..and what was happening when you found them? We need to take this moment while they are away to try and figure something out..." He looked behind himself, making sure they were not approaching.."Does anyone have any idea what is going on here??"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dark_strider_dragon_rider - 2/12/2004 at 12:21
Anarion looked at Elladan and said " I found them in a prision soronded by Orks and Uruk-hai, and there was a Balrog near them and some sort of shadowy figure talking to the Balrog. Other then that I have no idea what happened. Be careful beecause either there is something wrong with there minds or they are not who they appear to be. I'll return shortly. I need to go do somethings quickly. " and with that Anarion was atop Shadowfang and him and all of his animals rode off into the forest.

A few hours latter he reached a mountain and went through a secret entrience that brought him into a Dwarf town. He found his way through the city to one of the forging houses and walked in, it belonged to an old friend who had made his Dragon neacklace for him. There was noone home so he walked to the forgers stone and laid out the shards of his sword and went to work refoging it until there was three large pieces left. One was the handel with part of the sword connected to it, another part was the long middle section of the blade, and the last part was the long top section of the blade. When the mettal cooled he placed the last three parts back in his bag and he walked up to the homing section of the billding up staires and found the room that was saved for him in case he ever came for a visit and Anarion walked over to the bed in the room and pulled of his weapons and there holders as well as his cloack and boots and his bag and placed them all next to the bed. He then laid down and fell aslep.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 2/12/2004 at 18:10
Narya and Elladan were talking in whispers. Narya looked dark and sinister in the firelight, clothed in a black cloak and dark eyes glittering. She turned back to Elladan. " There is somethign wrong with them. That is not my sister. She is different, I can see it in her eyes." Her hand went to her sword, but Elladan's gentle hand stayed her.
" No. You cannot kill them. Not yet." He was grave.
" Well what else can I do? Morgoth is out to kill the last of three-fold, we know this. What goes to say that this is not a plan of his. You stopped me killing Anarion because he was my own flesh and blood, so let me do this now." Elladan was finally seeing the violent part of Narya that none could withstand. It frightened her siblings to see it, and they always did their best to calm her. But they were not around now. Aeriel was far away, and was not with them like it appeared. Legolas was still in Minas Tirith, so what could Elladan do?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 2/12/2004 at 19:16
Soon, the night grew so thick that it would have done little good for anyone to search out Aeriel and Elwyn. They were still in the blackness, around the others..watching...waiting.

A troubling sleep fell on them all, much like they could not bear to keep their eyes open...silence took the camp, and Elwyn and Aeriel soon reappeared. Everyones sleep was so deep that they did not hear as their belongings were being rummaged through, "where are they?" Aeriel whispered as her hands went through the belongings of Elrohir and Elladan. Elwyn who was going through the belongings of Narya and Nessa turned and shook her head, "They are not here."

"Come..we must rest..we have much to do.." Aeriel said, beckoning Elwyn closer. They exited the camp again, and waited in silence until the morning sun rose over the rolling hills. They heard Anarion's approach, and then the others began to awaken. Making their way back to the camp, they remounted their steeds and watched the others closely. Aeriels gaze fell on Narya, as if she had heard the entire conversation she and Elladan had had that night.

The group began to ride again, although everyone now was aware that something dreadful was wrong with their estranged friends. As night once again came, they made camp. Aeriel and Elwyn again stood alone in a shadowed corner, staring at the others..whispering to themselves...
oddly enough, it now seemed that old friends were beginning to turn on one another..as many arguments erupted over trivial things. Angrily they sat in silence...until Narya began to feel what was beginning to happen to everyone..

Narya was keeping a close eye on the two. Hatred burned fiercely and clearly in her eyes. It was all she could do not to kill them on the spot was to think that Aeriel was her sister. She could already feel the evil pressing in on her, engulfing her in a violent swirl of darkness. Any elf with less power than her would have been easily taken. Indeed, more of Morgoth's will was bent on her than anybody else. Everyone was turning on each other, she could see it. They needed to drive out the evil, before anyone was killed. After all, it was only a matter of time....

Narya looked at Anarion, her eyes blazing with fury.."Are you sure that you defeated whatever it was where Elwyn and Aeriel were??"
Anarion looked at her, annoyed he snapped.."YES! I told you just like I told everyone else...I found them in a prison surrounded by Orcs and Uruk-hai, and there was a Balrog near them and some sort of shadowy figure...I killed the Balrog, healed their wounds, and brought them back!!"

They heard someone approach, all eyes rested on Aeriel..

“Did you honestly think that Morgoth would reveal his prison so easily?” Aeriel said her face pale and grave; her voice changing from its normal tentative whisper. She looked long and hard at those that were around her and Elwyn.
“He is the Lord of wickedness, he commands all that is dark and vile,” Elwyn then said, her voice harsh and aggressive.

Elladan looked to his cousin, “What has happened to you? Surely this madness you speak is a spell!”
Elwyn glanced at him, sneering…”Morgoth has not the need to cast mind control spells.” Aeriel then came to stand by her hissing, “We must acquire what we were sent to retrieve.” They nodded to one another.

“You see you never recovered your friends, they still languish in the confinement of Morgoth’s power, it was all a clever spell, an illusion....” Elwyn said maliciously, and in a wisp of flame and smoke their facade faded. There stood creatures unseen for many ages, black demons…lesser Maiar who had sworn an allegiance to Morgoth when his treachery had only just begun. (Powerful, they are in command of the elements), they murmur a spell cast in the black speech…krimpatul-ishi bubhosh burzum.
A devouring feeling crept over the members of the party…they did not know it yet, but those that had inborn powers…had their abilities bound.

Narya unsheathing her swords rushed at them…striking, yet her blade causing little more than a scathing.

“Fool, do you think you can conquer us with mere steel?”

The red gems in Anarion’s gauntlets began to glow, and a surge of energy shot into one of the demons. It shrieked turning to him its eyes glowing as if its very soul were lit with flame. “There they are,” it said, the other now watching closely, faded quickly into nothingness, yet a foul whisper could be heard in the air…”not for long.” The demon reappeared, and swiftly removed the gauntlets from his arms; vanishing into thin air. The other laughed vacantly, before stopping to speak once more…

“You cannot destroy Morgoth…” then it murmured…”you will not find them, lest you wish to surrender”…it looked menacingly at Nessa, before finally vanishing into the twilight.

The entire camp erputed into panic; Nessa was screaming at the top of her voice, as she usually did, Elladan was charging around trying to get the demons to come back, Elrohir was yelling, like Nessa, Anarion was threating to destroy those things for stealing his gauntlets, and Sarmer was running around like a chicken that had lost his head, most un-elven.
" Calm down." Narya said. Nobody listened, so she tried again, only to fail again. " Shut up!" she yelled suddenly, adn the others where socked into silence. " Right then. All of you stay here! Anarion, I know that you've lost your powers, and are going to be upset about that, but I'm trusting you to keep an eye on the rest. Don't show off, it's not the time. Remember, all powers are bound, so their's not point trying to use them. I'm going to find Gandlaf. If anything happens, try and contact me telepathicly. I will be back by morning." She mounted her Mearas, and was gone with the wind.

Narya travelled for many leagues, back to Minas Tirith. Gandalf would hopefully still be there. After travelling for the rest of the night, she galloped into Minas Tirith. She was in such dire need that she even ignored the no horses rule. Gandalf was standing in the courtyard with Aragorn. " Mithrandir, I need you help!" She cried.

Gandalf turned his attention to Narya as she approached. She dismounted her house and hurriedly began to explain what had just happened. Gandalf stood, his gaze scrutinizing. “Black demons you say? They haven’t made their existence known in ages. If that is indeed what they are then you have a difficult road ahead,” he turned and began walking back to the King’s halls motioning for Narya to follow.

They walked down a long forgotten corridor, and then down many flights of stairs until they reached the record hall. The room was uninviting, and smelled musty, fresh air must have not spread through this place in many years. Gandalf whispered an incantation and Narya stood in awe as the torches within the room lit unaided.

He searched through many stacks of old books and loose paper, blowing the dust off of many a page. “Yes..yes...here we have it,” he said pushing a book toward Narya.

She looked down at the books illustrations and nodded...”that’s what we saw!”

Gandalf went on, “the only way you can defeat them is to summon the alternate element.”

Narya looked at him, her eyebrows raised...”I’m sorry, but what exactly does that mean?”

Gandalf shook his head, “if you know one of them is created from fire, you would need to destroy them with water, if it is of earth you would use air.”

Narya dropped her head, “how do we summon the elements?”

Gandalf smiled faintly...”child there are spirits all around you, the Valar have left guardians on this place; you just need to summon them. If I am not mistaken you are of the last of the threefold, are there more of you in the group?”

Narya shook her head,”yes there is!”

“Then you must know, when you are united in thought and spirit anything can happen.”

“But the demons bound our powers...we can’t use magic.”

“You wont be using magic...magic will be using you.” He handed her the book and pointed out the instructions they would need to follow.

“Gandalf...what of our powers how can we get them back?”

Gandalf stood to his feet and handed her a small leather pouch. “Here, mix this and drink. It will not give you back all the power you had. I cannot undo the power of Morgoth entirely...it only allows you to make use of your magic one time per day, so be sparing...once you have defeated the demons, you will be unbound.”

“What if they do not come back??” she asked sadly.

“They will be back...just keep an eye on your fellowship.”

He then walked out of the room.

Anarion was furrious and then suddenly he was lost in a vission. He saw the Valar standing aroud him and they said to him " Anarion Heareld of the Valar, last remaning gardion of Middle Earth the time has come to wake your seccond mind and spirit and to wipe out morgoths evil for all. Do you choose to take the brand and except your destiny. " Anarion responded to the Valar in his vission " Yes. As my lords command me. " The Valar spoke words of enchantment and the vission endded. Anarion looked up his eyes had sort of a glow to them and Anarion saw the remnence of the trail the lesser Maiar had taken and he looked at the group and said to Sarmer " Look after the rest of the group and tell Narya when she returns that Anarion Heareld of the Valar, last gaurden of Middle Earth is going to find and destroy the leeser Maiar. Good bye and be safe my friends. " Anarion walked to were the leeser Maiar had vanished from and his dody was sucked threw there path and saw them laughing at and torchering Aeriel and Elwyn saying to them " So Anarion will atop us the last of the three fold will survive well what do you think know you fools. " One of the lesser Maiar was trying to destroy the gauntlents and finnaly said to the other " They wont be broken and anly Anarion can control there powers. What do we do then? " The other one said " Then we'll capture him and give him a choose either denounce the Valar and save his love and cloose friend and serve Morgoth the dark lord or his love and cloose friend will die. " Anarion heard this and heard the acid ting in its voice. He cringed, he knew they would do what they were saying. But he kept himself hidden waitting to see what would happen next and if he was lucky maby he could learn what these two lesser Maiars element was so he could destroy them. That time was near he knew this, and when the time came those who had tricked him would pay dearly.

Narya galloped back through the forest of Gondor. " Part of my powers? That's not enough!" she was telling herself. She raced back to camp. But her horse began to slow down. " What are you doing?!" She yelled, but Brethilliel simply stopped. Narya felt a great power around her, and suddenly, a great figure emerged in front of her. " Orome!" she said, backing away.
" Narya, you have forgotten the power that we gave you." He said in a deep, powerful voice that echoed. He was the only one who came to Middle-Earth, and so the Valar had sent him to Narya.
" What?" she asked.
" You are not doing your job on Middle-Earth. You are letting others take advantage." He said.
" What? Never! I'm not abusing my role!"
" You are the guardian of the elven-race. These powers do not hold you, have not bound your powers. You are only of the three-fold race because we chose you to be. That part of your powers are bound! But we created you, and no demon can bind the powers we gave you! You were put on this earth by the Valar, and they only can bind your powers. You are a Maia, Narya, and you have to guard the first-born. Take control." He frowned down at her.
" But that would reveal to everyone that I am not wholly elven. You forbid me to do that. How do I use my powers without revealing that I am not of the three-fold?" She was confused, an rather weary.
" You will figure it out. But you must go at once. Anarion is going to attack the demons. You have to stop him, before he does anything to rationally, before he gets himself captured. The Valar have alerted him too, and in this you must work together."
" Together?"
" And he does not know your identity. The rule applies to him too. Do not reveal yourself." Narya really didn't know what to do. It was impossible to show her powers without revealing her ture self. She looked up to tell Orome, but he was gone.
" Great! What am I supposed to do know?" she said sarcastically, then remounted Brethilliel.
" Come on then." she said with a sigh, and her horse cantered off, at a slower pace now.

" Summon the elements. How can I do that? Gandalf doesn't even know of my secret. So it must be able to be done without the use of the Maia part of me. So how?" she puzzled as they went on, but she figured that the twins, Nessa and Sarmer would work out how.
" Remember, don't reveal yourself." she reminded herself, took a deep breath, then walked into camp.

Meanwhile, in a prison buried beneath the earth Elwyn and Aeriel stayed; weakened by the constant intake of the breath of Morgoth. They sat wearily huddled as close as their bonds would allow them, “Elwyn will we ever see day again?” Aeriel asked her voice hoarse and shallow. Elwyn looked at her, her eyes filled with tears, “I would like to think so Aeriel...if we do not have hope we have nothing.” The balrog paced back and forth; ever silent they had never heard it mutter a word. The dark visitor had come many times, revealing much to them of his masters plans. Aeriel and Elwyn knew what would become of them should they all become captives.

They tried in vain to rest, only to be awoken by guards unlocking their bonds and tying their hands, “where are you taking us??” Aeriel asked in a panic. They did not answer. Elwyn looked to Aeriel, her eyes pleading...Aeriel understood. This was the only chance they would have. Allowing themselves to be lead away from the balrogs sight, they began working their plan. Elwyn tumbled sending herself to the floor. The guard was holding her so tightly that he to took a fall. As he hit the ground, Aeriel threw a brutal kick, her foot landing against the guards head. He was out. As the sentinel who had Aeriel began to unleash a beating, he foolishly turned his back to Elwyn. She rolled on her back and violently kicked the back of his legs. They buckled, sending him to his knees. It was perfect, his head rested at the perfect height for Aeriel to use her knee, sending it quickly up and into the bottom of his chin. He fell back. Scrambling they felt around trying to find a blade to cut their bonds.
“Here!” Elwyn said, her arms behind her back she had a spearhead between her hands. Aeriel sat on the ground her back to Elwyns, cutting her ties. She then took the spearhead and freed Elwyn.
“What now!!” Aeriel said as they heard the clamber of approaching feet.
“Run.” Elwyn grabbed her hand and they dashed down the hazy corridor, making a quick turn and hiding in a narrow crevice in the wall. They heard behind them the startled cries as the unconscious guards were found...and then murdered. Cowering, they stayed still waiting until they were sure they could move...

Nessa stopped ,and stood silent,as if in a bubble, blocking all other noises and thoughts.Shock blocked her senses, knocking her down onto the floor. She sat on the ground clutching her head, not knowing what to do.
It had happened so quickly...it was as if everything had been torn apart in a matter of seconds.
She watched as Anarion and Narya disappeared into the darkness.
Elrohir calmed his unruly brother who had grabbed Sarmer and begun to shake him.
"Brother, this is no time to lose your mind.If we are to conquer this,we must keep ourselves alert and not allow ourselves to go...well..psycho!"
"BUT...BUT!?!"
"Concentrate Elladan!"
The enraged twin dropped the shaken Sarmer who struggled to his feet and scrambled over to where his possesions lay.
Nessa pulled herself up and walked towards the brothers...
"Come on,we need to keep a watch, keep alert. In case the evil should return."

********
The four of them sat down back to back, swords draw, facing outwards in a circle. The fire blazed before them, warding off any creatures that may find the need to approach.
"Can you see anything?" Nessa whispered anxiously...
"No...not yet."there was a clatter of hooves and the remaining company turned round to face the intruder;their faces menacing and threateningly defensive...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 4/12/2004 at 09:42
Narya ran in, and ignored thier expressions. Nessa was tossed one of the herbal remedies that Gandlaf had given her. " Drink it, it will give some of your powers back." Sarmer got up, and walked to her.
" What's happend?" he asked.
" Orome came to me." she whispered. Sarmer alone knew her secret. She told him of what the Vala had said. " Where is Anarion?" she asked.
" He is gone."
" What?! He just can't stay put can he!" She turned away to the others.
Sarmer ran after her." You're not going to go after him?!" he exclaimed.
" No, why should I?"
" Because that is what the Valar commanded you to do. You are going to ignore their commands?"
" Look, Anarion is not my responsibility. I am the guardian of the elves, and he is not an elf. Despite the fact that he believes himself to be, he is only an elf because the Valar mad him one, like me. Seeing as he is not of elven-race, he is not my responsibility! I do not need to protect him. And yes, the Valar will be angry that I ignored them, but that can be dealt with later. I am needed more here." She walked swiftly away.
" Right then, does anyone here have any idea how to summon the elements?" she asked. Nessa and the twins had been watching Sarmer and Narya argue softly. They were now confused. " I was going to send Anarion to find out what elements the demons were, but he's gone now, so we'll have to work out another way."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 4/12/2004 at 13:54
Nessa took a sip and pulled a thoughtful face as she swilled the liquid about her mouth. The mixture tasted suspiciously like her father's brew, but she kept silent.Elladan and Elrohir drank their share and listened to Narya and Sarmer arguing...
"Well...I'm not quite sure what you're going on about, but I reckon those demons were of fire, judging by their tempers..." Nessa answered. The thought of fire actually seemed to make sense to her because of what she had learned in her youth in Imladris and from Elrond.
"So,if we had to summon any element,I think the best bet would be..water?"
She looked up at Narya who seemed to be considering Nessa's idea.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 5/12/2004 at 03:38
Elladan paced back and forth, while his brother sat calmly on a long fallen tree. He had been listening to Nessa and Narya, and decided he would have to agree with Nessa. "Water would seem the likely candidate..yet, how do we summon the spirits? It would seen logical that we would need to locate a body of water before we could call on anything......"

Elrohir looked up from his quandery and shook his head. "That would seem what we would have to do..." He looked about him, listening for any sound of running water...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 5/12/2004 at 18:56
Nessa slumped down upon the ground and began to play with a little,grey-speckled stone;absent-mindedly rolling it about it the dirt.
it was deadly quiet;everyone had been lost in their thoughts for quite some time now.Nessa had almost forgotten what they were meant to be thinking of...until something hit her...
"How far are we from the Anduin?"
Elrohir came to his senses and twirled round...
"Huh...??? Oh.Anduin! Not far I should think. We're only just out of the borders of Gondor.I'd say..what...30...40 leagues..if that."
Nessa clambered to her feet.
"Well then.I don't think we're going to find anywhere with as much water as the Anduin..."
"But do we have the time?"Sarmer chipped in suddenly.
"Who knows? But it's our best chance, our best hope of saving them." Elladan interupted fiercely.
"It's settled then,we head to Anduin at first light." Sarmer continued.
"No,now! You're complaining about time...there is none to spare! So let us be gone!" Elladan burst in yet again...
Elrohir nodded in agreeance and went off to round up the horses.Nessa followed as usual;seven horses were too much for just one alone to manage...

Elrohir turned to Nessa as they were concealed by the darkness of night, he stole a soft kiss before finally mounting his horse and gathering the reins of 3 more. Nessa was soon ontop of her steed as well, leading the remaining 2 horses. Everyone was soon saddled and riding furiously towards the Anduin. Morning was coming, the sky began to lighten up as they reached the rushing water of the great river. Elrohir and Elladan brought their horses to a halt and dismounted, running to the edge of the water.."what now?" they both said in unison.

Anarion wasn't sure what he was going to do but he slipt on his dark ring then when he heared a shoot and the two leeser Maiar left to see what had happened he ran to the table were the gauntlents were at and slide them on and he saw them go invisible like he had done. He ran back to his hidding place and saw the leeser Maiar come back in the rome saying " We need to find thoose prisiners everything deepends on that. " Then the other leeser Maiar said " Where are the Hearelds gauntlents. He is here he has the prisioners he couldnt have gone far we'll fihd them and then we'll burn them. " they screched and flew away Anarion ran down the hallway past the boddies of the Orks and when he saw nobody was around slipt off the ring and walked to a brake in the wall he became visible as he walked up to the creves and said when he saw Elwyn and Aeriel " Hello my ladyies would you like to go home know? " and he slipt into the crevec with them.

Hopping off her horse,Nessa made her way down to the riverbank and glanced into the reflective surface of the Anduin.
Dots of light shimmered upon the flowing waters, dancing merrily across the ripples.
Picking up a small pebble she skimmed it across, and watched as it disappeared underwater, disturbing the silt into a swirling mirk.Nessa stared into the glittering river, but her eyes were yet drawn to the blemish she had made with the stone. As one entranced she walked out towards the patch, heedless to the rising water.
"Nessa?!?What are you doing?!?" she heard shouts from the shore but could not turn her head.It was as if she was under some sort of spell.
As she waded further into the currents the sound of the flowing water began to break up into what sounded like,to her, whispering voices.
She was up to just below her chest when it became clear;the voice of the Anduin.
The others on the bank looked on in confusion which soon became fear as they watched their companion inhale deeply.
"Nessa!"
These words were drowned out by the gurgling of the river passing over her head.
Upon the shore a small panic broke out.Nothing was said, but it was plastered upon all their faces;Elrohir's none the least.Nessa's horse reared up,whinnying madly;Sarmer and Elladan rushed to restrain it from bolting.
"What's happening?" Narya asked, for not even she could predict the outcome of this venture.
"I don't know..." Elrohir replied,he seemed unusually spaced out.
Below the depths of the Great River,a pair of hands fumbled and grappled at the rocky bed, feeling their way across the river bottom.Nessa's feet paddled rapidly as she tried to stop herself from floating downstream.Suddenly the hands stopped on a smooth object, lodged in and amongst the gravel. They grasped tightly, and together they lifted it from out its resting place.
"How long has she been down there?!?"
"No more than a couple of minutes...I think..."
"What if?"
"Don't even think that!"
"No,but what if?"

The discussion was interrupted by a shout from Narya.
"Look!"
Everyone turned round to see what she had spied.
A small dark mass was steadily moving towards them.
"What the...?"
A head emerged, followed by a sodden Nessa, panting and coughing for breath.
In her hands she carried a small, white jewel, about the size of a cooking apple. The light from it shone in every direction, nearly blinding those waiting for her,who shielded their eyes.
Eyes at a squint,Narya and Elrohir ran down to the diver, leaving Sarmer and Elladan holding the horses.
Narya was the first there...
"It's so beautiful...what is it?"
Elrohir followed closely behind.
"Let her breathe Narya! She's only just come back!"
He picked the jewel carrier up into his arms and removed her out of Narya's way;she didn't seem to happy about that, but allowed him to carry on.
"Are you alright?" he whispered to her.
Nessa, wide eyed, simply looked up at his elven-fair face and nodded. He kissed her gently on the forehead and brought her back up to the grassy bank;laying her gently down on the ground.
By now,Elladan and Sarmer had had time to tie up the horses, and were quick to crowd round and inspect the treasure which Nessa had retrieved, and now clasped tightly in her hand, covering the light.
They all crowded round and gazed,open-mouthed in awe at what they saw...

" Nessa, I suggest you keep a tight grip on that. It seems very precious and must be important." Her eyes flicked across to Elrohir, then moved back. " Keep it safe." She walked away. She had knelt down beside the river, and her hands were tracing out a symbol on the surface. Where her fingers had touched, a weak trace of light shone for a second before growing dull. Elladan walked to her, and looked at what she was doing. Narya whispered something, then got up. " There are spirits in these waters. We are close to our goal.
" Nessa, come here." She had an idea of what the jewel was. Nessa walked towards her, still staring at the stone. " Stand here." She backed away from her, and the other followed suit. She looked around, and made sure that none of the others were watching her, then whispered a chant. Gandalf had taught it to her when she had first met him. She enjoyed being in the company of one of her own. The jewel began to glow softly, then grew brighter and brighter. Suddenly, it burst into light, shafts piercing the air. Two shapes lifted, swirling from the river, and hovered above it. They were drawn to the stone, and moved towards Nessa. The jewel diminished it's light, and the shapes stood still before them.
" Well Done Nessa. You have summoned the water demons." She suspected that this wasn't the jewel's main purpose, but at least it had worked like she had hoped.

The twins watched in awe as the gem seemingly was possessed by the spirits of the Anduin. "What do you suppose that gem really is?" Elladan asked, peering at the white stone in Nessa's hands. Elrohir shrugged.."maybe it's the heart of the river?" Elladan smiled at his brother and nodded. "Maybe..it is.."

"What now?" Elladan asked, watching the others intently. They did not know it at the time, but there lay a watcher close to them, lurking in the darkness of the shadows. Nessa looked to Elladan, "I guess this means we must find the other elementals.." They all agreed, and determined the best place to look for evil would be the very place it was created. Mordor.
*****************************
Elwyn looked as Anarion joined them in the small crevice. "We cant just magically be whisked away...do you not think that our foe is intellegent enough to detect our presence?" She looked to Aeriel and back to Anarion.."he even knows that we have escaped...he is watching from the void and can see all that we do..." She peered out from around the corner. The corridors were empty for the time being. She withdrew her blades, "If I escape this place, it will be because I found a way out...not because I used magic..." She gave them both a long look before running silently down the hallway, and turning a sharp left.

Holding the jewel tight in her grasp, she wrapped it tightly in a shred of dull cloth and lodged it deep within the confines of her bag.Nessa shook her sopping wet hair and moved it out of her face. She swung her bag back on and set about untying the horses.
Soon, everyone was re-saddled and rearing to go,as were the horses.
"Eastwards?Where do we cross the Anduin?" Nessa asked.
"The crossings at Osgiliath are the nearest." Narya answered quickly.

Within minutes, the host were gallopping back south-east into the realm of Gondor...

Narya was at the head of the group. She slowed down as they went on, and let Nessa, Elladan and Elrohir pass her. Sarmer was lagging behind. Something was bothering him. They slowed down to a canter. Her horse would be able to catch the others up. " What's bothering you?" she asked.
" Nothing." Narya looked at him, but he decided not to tell her. It was nothing really. Nothing big anyway. He set his horse faster. Narya looked after him, then quickened. They soon caught up with the others, and she wondered if they had even noticed they were gone. It seemed that there was some friction between Elladan and Sarmer, and she wondered why.

Elwyn stopped, turning to look behind her. No one followed, she sighed..and in agitation turned to go retrieve the others. That's when she remembered there were more than orcs that roamed within this pit. She saw the balrog, who was at once standing their guard...and the balrog saw her. It came forward, flames spewing from it's gaping mouth. Whirling it's whip toward her...the corridor she was in was a bit too small for it to follow her, but it's whip lashed out wrapping around a supporting celiing column and pulling it down. The whole earth seemed to tremble, then stones began falling to the floor. This place is going to be buried, she soon realized. Looking again toward where her friends should have been, she didn't see them..so she ran for her life. The ceiling falling nearly onto her heels, she pressed on..Soon the dust enveloped her, making the air almost impossible to breathe. She stopped, leaning against a wall and placed her cloak over her nose. She felt her way, until she reached a stairway..stumbling she made her way to their top..and was greeted by a chill breeze.

((Where in Middle-Earth is DSDR?!?Has that Balrog eaten him?!?))

After a few hours travelling, the group reached the crossings at Osgiliath. They were surrounded by tall, weather worn buildins, that looked like as if they should have been marble-coloured was it not for the thick layers of grime and erosion which scarred the surface of the stone. The rushing river which they had been following poured ahead of them in great foam-tipped torrents;a stampede of water rushing over the great lumps of rock which poked out from the water's surface like small mountains.
By now, darkness had begun to fall and the stars peered out from behind their shadowy veil;silver and glittering like the flickering of many candle flames, small but bright.Among them rose the moon, returning from it's daytime wanderings, fresh with a pale glow which lit up the grim remains of that, once prosperous, city.
Nessa trotted up to the river's edge and dismounted.Along the bank floated several small, flimsy looking rafts made from some sort of light wood.
"It'll have to be on foot from here...Those things look as if they could barely hold us,let alone our horses.Besides, the poor creatures won't be able to withstand the evil that lies within..." she said, gesturing in the direction of the mountains of terror that encircled the dreaded realm.
Elladan and Elrohir came to inspect the rafts, one of which was so rotten,it fell apart withing their hands.
"I don't think these are very river-worthy...but it's the best we have." spoke Elladan, his brother still observing their surroundings.
"I suppose we could try and strengthen them with something..." he said rather unexpectedly.
"But with what? What materials do we have except huge hunks of stone? And what would we do if we crashed into one of those boulders?!?" Sarmer argued sceptical about the whole prospect of rafting.
"Why don't we just hop across the stones?" Nessa answered, coming upon the idea as she watched Narya counting the river-mountains...

Elwyn stood, alone at the top of the dark stairways she had just climbs. She looked around her, trying to tell where exactly she was or if there were anything around that she may need to avoid. It was too dark. Off of one of the branching halls, she could see the faint flickering of flame and down the other, nothing but the cold opression of further darkness. She sighed, withdrawing her sword from it's scabbard and continuing toward the flame. "I hope I don't regret this.." she said in a whisper. Feeling along the wall with her free hand she continued on...the floor riddled with debris and potholes. Nearly tripping several times, she was beginning to become annoyed at her current plight. Then, she neared the end of the hall and peering at the onset of light gasped in horror. The room must have been a kennel, for all around the walls stood rotting iron cages containing skeletal remains of many different creatures. It looked like warg bones, horses, orcs, nothing was prejudiced here. These cages would have held her at one time she was sure. She swallowed and stepped into the light...something hissed across the room. Elwyn stopped, holding her breath.

Narya jumped on to the first stone. It wobbled unsteadily. She took a deep breath, then jumped to the next. From then on, it would be more difficult. The others were still on teh bank, waiting to see if she could make it safely. She got down close to the river, and studied the water. It seemed to strong for anyone to swim across. She looked up. The next stone was quite far away, and slippery. She stood up. She closed her eyes, and jumped into the water. Everyone suddenly jumped up. It seemed that no one would be able to survive the river's torrent. Meanwhile, Narya swam down to the bottom of the river, fighting against the current. Suddenly, the current ceased. She had reache below it. The far side was about 50 meters away, so she sawm as fast a possible to the other side.

Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 19/12/2004 at 18:13
Following Narya's lead,Nessa Sarmer and the twins, began to leap across the stepping stones, slipping and sliding across the wet surfaces. They watched Narya clamber out onto the eastern shore and begin to wring out her clothes.Sarmer looked unsurely at the water, while Nessa looked to Elrohir and sighed. She had had quite enough of this river for one journey;but still,it must be done.Taking a deep breath, she plunged back down into the Anduin for a second time...
-----------------------------------------------------
Before long, the whole group were reunited on dry land;their eyes following across the bleak landscape which lay before them.Mordor's encircling mountains stood tall and menacing, looking down upon them with malice.Nessa glanced at their jagged tops and shivered with dislike.
"Is everyone accounted for?" Narya shouted. She was met by a loud, but weary reply of "YES!".
"How are we meant to get past those?!?" Nessa piped in after squeezing the excess water from out of her hair.
Everyone looked at each other anxiously...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 20/12/2004 at 17:10
Narya looked at the mountains carefully. She had passed them a long time ago, but couldn't remember how she had done it. Her eyes searched for any clues. The others had sat down, wearied by their crossing. She stood there for half an hour, without saying anything. Finally, she turned to them. " The only way I can think of is the same way that Frodo and Sam took. It will be extremely perilous, so if anyone has any other suggestions, please tell." She was anxious not to go that way, for they would probably not make it.
" The only other way I can think of is through the gates." She walked to Elladan, and stood beside him. " But firstly, I suggest we find somewhere to camp overnight. We are all weary." She smiled, and leane her head on the twin's shoulder.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 20/12/2004 at 17:30
Elladan wrapped his arm around Naryas waist. "Indeed, this trip has been much to handle as of late.." he rested his head against Narya's. "I fear for my cousin..." he said softly to her, sorrowful.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elwyn soon realized much to her surprise, that the hiss was infact nothing more than steam exiting through a pipe that ran into the room. "What devilry is at work here?" she said to herself...cautiously walking through the room and into another corridor. Again it was filled with darkness, and running she took another flight of stairs up. "Up..up means to the surface..to freedom" she kept thinking to herself. However, as she neared the top of this flight, she heard voices..orcs no doubt, speaking in gibberish. She withdrew her sword and peered around the top of the stairway. Sighing, it was merely 3 drunken orc gaurds..piece of cake. She stepped into the room, and made quick work of them, and one lay dieing..gaping up at her as she kneeled down onto it. Her heel against its chest. "How do I escape this place?" she asked, brandishing her sword before its eyes. The orc gurgled, and pointed..

Problems arose when lighting the fire for all that they owned had become damp during the river crossing.Leaving her boots and cloak to dry on a large rock, she walked over to where the others were grouped and curled up beside Elrohir who promptly leaned towards her.Nessa shivered slightly in the breeze.
"You're cold?I thought...our race don't get cold..." he looked at her in confusion.
"It's a long story...too long for a time like this." she spoke mysteriously, but solemly as if the tale was one of woe.
Elrohir asked no more but her held Nessa close to himself to keep her warm and shelter her from the night.
-------
The morning was grim and dark;a fine example of a day near Mordor.Nessa stirred and opened her eyes to find boots and cloak missing.Grumbling and cursing, she began to search about for her belongings, stopping every now and then to pick out stones that seemed to have lodged themselves between her toes...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 1/1/2005 at 01:45
Elrohir woke, sat up stretching his arms high above his head. He looked to the now empty spot that Nessa had slept in that night and sighed. He stood slowly, and walked to Elladan and woke him, urging him to hurry...Elwyn was out there somewhere.

Elladan rose, looking to Narya he stroked her face softly and woke her with a soft kiss on her cheek. She stirred and opened her eyes, smiling up at Elladan. He smiled back and stood to his feet, joining his brother.

Sarmer was already up, probably had been for hours...he stood looking out towards Mordor, his face impassive, like an etching in stone.

The twins waited on Nessa’s return, then were anxious to start planning their next move.

Elwyn ran the way the orc had pointed. She knew she could be heading straight to her death, but she had to take that chance. She had not heard nor saw Aeriel or Anarion in what seemed days. While she was in this prison she did not feel exhaustion, nor did she know when it was night or day; in fact she knew not how long she had been within this place. Her memory waned.

She kept going, running down a crumbling hallway to another flight of deteriorating stairs. Stopping for a moment, she caught her breath and gawked at the enormousness of these steps. They seemed to reach up for miles; her legs ached...she dread taking another step. Heaving herself heavily she pushed forward...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 1/1/2005 at 16:15
She carried on searching, scrambling, pulling back bushes and branches from small trees to see if any mischevious creature had perhaps stolen them to hide;or worse, she thought,to chew on...
Nessa was on the verge of just giving up and going back, when she spotted a small corner of fabric being blown about, close to yet another large rock;one of many that seemed to have been accidently placed in the middle of that scrub-land.This rock however, appeared to be shaped into some sort of mutilated face which was quite disturbing to look upon.
Her cloak seemed to be stuck underneath the grotesque head,so grippping it tightly and pushing against the stone with her feet,Nessa pulled with all her strength.
Slowly but steadily, the rock moved back, revealing a dark pit which gradually began to grow as the rock was pushed away.
Stopping in amazement and dropping the piece of cloak, she peered down into the gloom.
A breeze blew up and out past her face, which was she thought was extremely odd,and made her ever the more inquisitive. The pit didn't seem all that deep from where she was...seven,maybe eight feet...shallow enough to get out of if she jumped a bit.
With this in mind, she made the decision to see if her boots had somehow made their way down there, and so carefully,Nessa let her legs hang, before dropping into the cold and damp of the hole...

(Sorry I've not posted for so long.)

Anarion used his minds eye to find Elwyn and when he found her he grabed Aeriel and used his new power to transfer them about thirty feet ahead of her. Anarion looked at Aeriel and said " Wait here for Elwyn and see if you can calm her down." Aeriel looked at Anarion and said " O.K. but where are you going?" Anarion responded " Dont worry I will be near." Anarion ran aound the next corner and slipt on his ring and when he turned invisible he walked back around the corner and stood against the wall to wait for Aeriel to stop Elwyn and talk to her and discover what was going on with her and why she seemed so mad at them.

Narya stood beside Sarmer. He was worried about something. Or more upset. " What's the matter?" She asked, her pretty face lined with concern.
" Nothing." He said untruthfully. Narya knew she couldn't persude him to tell her, so she let it drop. But she could still cheer him up. She smiled, and held his hand, unaware of Elladan's jealous gaze. They waited for Nessa to return.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 5/1/2005 at 01:27
Elladan looked at Narya and Sarmer, his gaze broken as Elrohir nudged him. Elladan shook his head and looked to his brother.
"What is it??"
"I have not seen nor heard from Nessa in a while, why dont we look for her??"
"Hmm...well this land isnt the safest place to be wandering alone.."
They agreed and soon turned to Narya, Elladan approached her and Sarmer. "Elrohir and I are going to look for Nessa..." he glanced down to Sarmer and Naryas entwined hand and gritted his teeth. He had come a long way from when he had first confessed himself to the princess, and he would not allow himself to become that person again. He walked away, breathing in deeply...his brother in tow.

"NESSA!! NESSA!!" they yelled, hearing softly...someone calling back to them...it seemed from within the very ground beneath them.....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elwyn stopped briefly, resting and taking time to catch her breath. This place was incredibly hot, and rank with the stench of sulfur and decay, her hair was wet with sweat and she used the back of her hand to brush it from her face. She collapsed against the stone wall for a moment, hearing behind her..the sound of many feet....she quickly began to run forward, finding a dark winding corridor sprawling to the east....no light could be seen.......and so she ran...blindly into the darkness; yet she was greeted by cool air...

Narya watched after the twins, and then looked up at Sarmer. " He seemed a little wierd." She said. She shrugged it off, and turned back to look to Mordor. " If Elwyn is there, we'll find her." She said. Her blonde hair shifted a little in the breeze. " They've been gone long. Maybe we should go and have a look for them." She said, looking concerned.
" I'm sure they'll be fine." Sarmer said, still watching Mordor.
" What is it you're looking at?" She asked.
" I don't know. Something's drawing my eye." He said. Narya was worried about him. He wasn't normally this...out of it. She sighed, and leaned her head against his shoulder. " I hope they'll be back soon." She said.

"Elrohir?Elladan?I'm down here!I think I've found a......my boots!"
"What?Where are you?!?"
"I've found my boots...and my cloak...Elrohir!" she shouted from the bottom of the hole,in a better mood since she'd discovered the location of her belongings.
There was a scrambling sound from above,Nessa's head shot up,but soon found it's way back down again after a shower of dust and dirt. She rubbed her eyes and shook her head.
"Nessa?" Elrohir and Elladan had appeared at the top of the pit.
"What are you...?How did you?"
"I've found a tunnel...I was going to come and get you...but I sort of got stuck down here..." she shuffled about looking rather sheepish.
The brothers glanced at each other."I'll go and find Narya and Sarmer and tell them what Nessa's found..." Elladan smirked at Nessa before turning to Elrohir."I suppose you'll want to stay here..."
"And what if I do?" he replied in a strange sort of voice.
Elladan gave his brother a hearty slap on the back and left in search of the others.
"Right then..."
"Be careful!It's a bit slippy..."
"I'll be fine...just you watch."
"I am..."
Within moments Elrohir had dropped eight feet, silently landing beside her upon the soggy earth.
"There you go.Nothing to...woah!" Nessa leaned forward to catch him as she watched the elf-prince slip slightly upon the damp.
"Nothing to it." he said, holding onto Nessa's hand and getting back his balance.
She bit her lip to stifle her mirth.
"What do you think you're giggling at?" he asked, playfully tickling her making her squirm and laugh even more.
"...nothing..."
"Nothing?Am I expected to fall for that...You must be losing your touch..." nudging her gently in the arm.
"Nessa never loses her touch..."she replied nudging him back, making him slip yet again.
"If I'm going, you're coming with me..." he said trying to get his footing.
"What makes you so sure?" she asked, intrigued yet suspicious.
"Well...for a start...you're holding onto me..." Elrohir tugged at his arm.Nessa blinked as they both toppled over onto the floor.
"Why you little..."
"Little what?"
"Little..." she was lost for words.
"You're losing your touch." he teased.
"Am not!"she said,following her argument with a long,passionate kiss.
"I stand corrected."

"Ahemm..."
The pair watched each other turn a marvellous shade of vermillion red and winced.
Elrohir,Narya and Sarmer were stood at the mouth of the pit peering down at the couple.
"Have you checked out the tunnel?" Narya asked sarcastically,Elladan looked on in amusement.
"Err..well...no...yes....errmm..." Elrohir stammered.
"We wanted to wait for you to make sure that you didn't get lost."Nessa said in a stuttery voice as she and Elrohir scrambled to their feet.
"Of course...it makes sense." Elladan said mockingly.
Elrohir pulled an odd sort of expression.
"Well, are you coming down then or are you just going to stand there like tree stumps?" he spoke eventually although not without embarrassment...

Narya laughed, and jumped easily down, landing on her feet like a cat. A few sprinkles of dust fell in her hair, and she shook her head to try and get it out. She watched Sarmer get cautiously down, and then looked up at Elladan. There was no doubt that he was going to try and show off.
" Do you need a little help?" She asked, teasing him.
" I don't think so!" He said, and swung himself over the side. He landed perfectly, without slipping like his brother.
" I'm impressed!" She said, with a slight smile on her face. She looked forward into the gloom. " Shall we go on?" She asked. " Nessa and Elrohir first, we know they can't be trusted behind." She teased.
The couple started walking cautiously. Narya held Elladan's hand, and followed them. Sarmer was in front of them, and Narya relished being in the back for once.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nessa_Telemnar_of_Doriath - 16/1/2005 at 18:04
Nessa crept forward, her hand rested upon the hilt of her sword.Next to her walked Elrohir who kept sideglancing at her.
"Don't worry..." she whispered reassuringly.
"Who's worrying?"
Shaking her head, she smiled at him and continued down the earthen path.

For what seemed like hours, the party slogged through the seemingly endless labyrinth of subteranian trails;each of them felt that they were lost, but none of them said a word. They just carried on regardlesly;hoping that maybe, around the next turn, their friends and loved ones would be there waiting for them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ElwynSilverleaf - 16/1/2005 at 22:16
Elwyn ran still, yet it proved useless. The further she ran, the more noises of approaching orcs she heard. She lowered her head and quickly thought, if this is the end of my life, I will end it in battle. She withdrew her sword and ran forward, meeting a horde of orcs head on. Nearly 20 soon surrounded her...and she fought, valiantly...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aneras - 17/1/2005 at 09:41
Narya and Elladan were still behind, but her eyes were upon Sarmer. His head was bowed, and he kicked the ground. She looked up at Elladan, wondering if he had noticed. " Elladan." She whispered so that Sarmer couldn't hear them. " What do you think's wrong with him?"
Elladan shrugged. " How should I know? He's your friend!"
Narya smiled, put her arm around his waist. " I feel like we haven't had any time alone for ages." She said.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(And then, everyone vanished in a puff of green smoke, and materialised in this place...THE END)
